I've traded in my Fake Golf Clubs for Fake Flight Combat.
It's been about 10 years since I've done this but I'm back.
It's kind of an expensive upfront cost but worth it in my opinion.
I now have 25 planes, 1 chopper, a bunch of maps/missions.
Multiplayer is a lot fun.
This sim is very detailed as you have to learn all the procedures, pushing buttons and flipping switches.
I get lost in the WW2 era so not sure how much time I will spend with the modern-day jets but it's all a huge time sink and fun.
Although I'm in about 2 grand, it is far cheaper than RC Warbirds lol... those cost about 3 to 4 hundred for every crash.
Just bought the Mosquito today so messing with that.
I've only just got comfortable with the Spitfire, BF 109 K4 and the Mustang.
I crashed the 109 like 60 times on takeoff till I watched a 5-minute YouTube video that showed me what I was doing wrong.
This guy is really detailed and good, but I only needed the take-off example.
Go Figure lol...
(I highly recommend this game to anyone that has the money and time to put into it.)
This video showed how easy you can take off in the Spitfire within 3 seconds.
It's very immersive.
My first day I spent 6 hours only on the runway learning procedures of planes and jets.
And was having way too much fun just learning cold start procedures.
It's hard to explain but it geeks you out if you're into aircraft.
I just got Head Tracker IR5 in yesterday and I don't like having to wear the device or have the infrared beam pointed at my head, but it does work really well.
It's like VR without VR as I don't want to get into VR for a few reasons, so this is the next best option even though I'm used to using the keyboard for different cameras.
They have a voice command thing, but I hate the idea, but I might get it, I just really hate anything like Siri or Alexa.
It does help as it allows you to be more hands free... I dunno... have to think about that one.
I bought the Hotas Warthog setup which is the A-10 replica Stick, Throttle, Control Box and Rudder Pedals.
All 4 devices are pretty darn sweet. The stick feels amazing as it is mostly metal.
The Rudder Pedals cost more than the Stick and Throttle combined but they are all metal and worth every penny if you have enough pennies.
They got me good as they offer 50% off of your first purchase with the planes/maps and I bought just about everything.
I've only been in like 25% of what I bought so far in 2 weeks.
This game will take years to learn the ins and outs of all these planes/jets.
Sorry to drone on and on and on about this but I do highly recommend it.
But I live the life of Riley and have time for this sort of thing.
I'm not running from casino to casino or offshore book to offshore book crushing every promotion making millions of dollars.
I have enough money and I enjoy it and my time.
Long Video Below... Do Not Watch the entire thing but it gives you an idea of what TIR5 is.
It allows you to check your six and all around your plane with relative ease.
The only thing I don't like at times is you have to keep your head very still when you're trying to kill someone lol.
Alright, back on track with this thread!
Double Song Recco.
We all know both of them.
We all love them!!
Also, I found a pretty good YouTube Channel for 45 vinyl records that plays continuous music.
It's called: Villa Vybes Vinyl
(Not sure how they got around all the copyrights)
Rich Girl and You Belong to the City below that...
The advancements in haptics have really taken it to a new level.
Imagine how long it took to code these games and develop the hardware. Too bad a few of these minds couldn't have been incentivized to go into medicine so that diseases and old age would have already been mitigated or eliminated - but physics and mathematics are much more interesting, so that only 2nd rate minds permeate the medical and health fields unfortunately.
Don't let the slow start and weird outfits fool you. Once the song takes off, you'll be in the funk zone.
Fred Again: Danielle ( Smile on my Face)
Sometimes I wanna feel the pain
You said you were done
But you're over here naked
In the middle of the day
Sometimes I wanna feel the pain
You said you were done
Fuck what they say
I'm safe in your arms
And if I die in your arms
There'll be a smile on my face
There'll be a smile on my face
Sometimes I wanna feel the pain
Sometimes you make me wanna face it
But you're over here naked
In the middle of the day
So squeeze my heart all day
Squeeze it till it breaks
Fuck what they say
I'm safe in your arms
And if I die in your arms
There'll be a smile on my face

There'll be a smile on my f-
Be a smile on my f-
Sometimes you make me wanna face it
Make me wanna face it
(Yeah, I remember that moment)
Sometimes you make me wanna face it
Fuck what they say
If I die in your arms
There'll be a smile on my face
There'll be a smile on my face
There'll be a smile on my f-
What, Me Worry?
They remade/updated/covered We Didn't Start the Fire by Billy Joel.
I hate it and about puked my guts out when I heard it today for the first time.
I went over to YouTube to read the comments and couldn't believe that not one was negative.
What the Fuck?
That remake was horrible.
You can't update or remake that song.
FML!
Ran into this the other day and don't really remember it.
It took a little while for me to catch onto it but I really like it now.
I love how simple shit used to be.
Just crazy kids creating shit.
Good Times.
I miss 'em.
On a side note, it appears that pepper has been trained a bit.
She was really good at the dog park last night.
She walks next to me unleashed as if she has a leash on her.
And she retrieves the ball and drops it at my feet as she sits down waiting for me to throw it again.
Can't wait to get her out at Lake Mead for a swim.
Fun Dog but a lot of work and I think she has a food allergy, dry skin problem or bugs like fleas but fleas are very uncommon in Vegas and my other dogs aren't scratching.
I got to take Pepper to the Vet in about 10 days so maybe they will figure it out.
She got dandruff and they had her on some Walmart dog food, so I figure it's a food allergy.
I'll give you fish!
I'll give you candy!
I'll give you... everything I have in my hand!!
Great find Monet, thanks for posting. One of the nice things about great bands is that a good portion of their lesser known shit is also great to listen to. I hadn't heard of this one either.
I'm glad your new dog is working out well. Maybe there is some sort of antihistamine for dogs that can treat her skin allergy. But, like you wrote, the vet will likely be able to sort it out.
The dog is a bit of a problem.
Cramping my style hard.
She has serious separation anxiety.
And I doubt I am strong enough to break her of it.
She will bark non-stop for 12 hours straight if left alone in a room inside her crate.
The degree of difficulty is making me want to get rid of all my dogs, clean and sanitize my entire house and be done with it.
I continue to persevere, but I do not see a reasonable or logistical solution.
We make choices and sometimes those choices are mistakes.
Really Great Dog but I'm not set up properly for this degree of difficulty.
That dog had a bad case of mange or something.
Constantly itching with yellow scabs and dandruff all over the back.
It's my fault for being ignorant about what to look for in puppies and or dogs in general.
I've always had a lot of chaos in my life.
I've avoided it for many years now, but it rears its ugly head back up every once in awhile.
I had to let the dog go.
The possible mange coupled with the constant barking/crying from separation anxiety was too much for me to handle.
I gave her back to the original owner for free so maybe they can resell her to some other schmuck.
Great Dog... just a bad fit.
Sometimes things just don't work out.
Now I got to put one of my other dogs down.
He's got some tumor growing larger and larger.
This is just life.
You got to understand this stuff going in.
A band at the top of their game: the WHO, "Young Man Blues."
Keith Moon really nailed it...
