I would think it's more about spending habits. Probably safe to assume smokers are more prone to taking risks than non. But the reality is smoking has declined massively and complaints from the ever growing non-smoking customer base had to be addressed.
My thoughts are more that the smokers just don't have as much money. When I think of wealthy people I can't think of a smoker. All the smokers I know are middle-class if not lower. That is just my thoughts though.. I looked for some research as I'm curious.

So yea, with smokers you get 2x the gambling addiction level but 1/20th the money to chunk off. Who knows .. And there are a lot of people (like myself) who just hate smoke but have learned to deal with it. Not everyone is ok to lose thousands smelling like a bar.

The pack a day crowd is at the locals joint thats attached to that convenience store. You know the one .. yea

Anyway - my main point is that it wouldn't be surprising if the levels of smoking areas didn't come back as strong. A lot of these things is to just overcome the initial reaction and if they got past that already ...
