I impulsively Googled my STEPMOTHER'S name, and I came up under a link for her! I was listed as an Acquaintance for her and I clicked on my name, and my FULL NAME, my ADDRESS, my PHONE NUMBER, my BIRTHDATE was just there for all the world to see. Sandra Bullock had a movie released in 1995 called The Net when I was about 11, and the trailer says something like,"My personal information is out there for the world to see," and even at around 11, I thought,"That's a REALLY horrifying thought, " and it has now happened to me in my real life!

I edited it to "Impulsively," but it is scary as hell that MY personal information showed up under a link for my STEPMOTHER'S name. Not MOTHER. STEPMOTHER.

All those sites have options to hide and delete this information and most people can have the information they want removed, to be removed. Usually only criminals of all sorts bother. There are paid services which can do this everywhere for you.

Year ago when they had paper phone books the paper phone books used to list your full name, address, & phone number.

This went on for decades and somehow humanity managed to survive.
