The issue I see is that we KNOW there's only a handful of people wasting some of their spare time on this forum. But look at the pathetic number on WoV! Google touts "more than 3/4 million posts" or something like that. This stuff ain't what it used to be.

Let's face it--the gaming forums heyday is long past gone. WAAAAY past gonzo!!! Why these owners/admins continue on with this is a curious mystery. Some sort of self-penance maybe? Ah, the miracle of modern technology.

One reason I retired when I did was Covid and the advent of Zoom and remote hearings.

I had no smart phone, no camera for my office PC and zero desire to get up to speed with modern tech.

Very "old school" and resistant to fundamental change.

Hell, my daily driver is an '82 Volvo turbo: by choice, not by necessity.

Last night I listened to some LP's (those are 33 RPM records for the young 'uns out there) and noticed how they sound better than CD's: analog vs. digital.

Oh well, we claw and fumble our way through this world the best we can, eh?

Actually those LPs are quite coveted, including by the younger set. But, to play them properly you need of course a fine turntable with a moving coil cartridge, and not many if any of the youngsters would have that.
