I agree with you implication that the country is overly PC and some take advantage of that. But if you honestly look at this situation and don't see that a good amount of the hate of this person comes from that....well I don't know what to say. I don't believe you honestly don't see that. I actually don't have any black friends. I am not all that comfortable among ethnicities that are different than myself. Middle eastern guys the worst. But I don't or try not to Hate anyone just for that reason. I try as best I can to judge each person individually. Probably fail to some extent.

When I was in college, one night I accompanied a black acquaintance of mine as he made his rounds.

The dorm had an outdoor cigarette machine, the old school type where you put in your coins and pull a metal lever.

Ben had a cut off broom stick with a nail pounded through one end; using only this tool I watched him break open the machine and remove all the cigarettes and coins.

First the blacks already have a national holiday in MLK day. I really dont think Every group needs a national holiday. You can celebrate your heritage with parades linear Patrick's day, Columbus day, Polanski day, whatever day the Puerto Rican celebrate, ECT, even Gay Pride without the need for a national holiday. That should be reserved for things we all share, celebrate and bring us together

I didn't realize "the Blacks" or "the Irish" or "the Latinos" or "the Whites" are offensive terms. My Grandmother used to say "the Coloreds". . So what is the preferred term?
