Thread: Bolt Bullion Slot Game

Starting in a +EV state isn't a big deal if the state is not worth that much.

As AIQ noted it's a problem when they offer machines with massive wager spreads on the same machine (for example that Frankenstein slot has something absurd like 1c denom up to $5 denom).

At that point basically nobody is going to play the highest denoms except people who know it's +EV.

The main problem is that you end up being able to bet $25 or something in a +EV machine and never put a second of -EV play. That's going to skew some profit reports on the machine when it first starts out. With 5 reasonable bet levels, it would have gotten far more play vs the +EV states. Casino management isn't going to give it time to get better. Everyone else spinning $3 spins and you just hammered $25+ bets, it will take time to see a longterm average. Even if the machine now has a better return for the casino - management isn't sticking their neck out waiting and seeing.

Presumably the only way this became a known thing by the casino was due to jackpot frequency?

When they first installed Bolt Bullion, maybe there was an attract/demo 100%+ RTP mode for a certain number of spins on each bet level of each denom, such that the probability of activating one or more of the six bags (irrespective of whether it was standard/super/mega/ultra) plus the base game RTP exceeded 100%.

At a glance it does not seem like it would be positive normally, maybe they also screwed up the math somewhere?

I am aware of another Aristocrat game which has a positive state on install for all bet levels but it continues to have a very good life in casinos.
With an Ultra, a Super and Mega on the screen it was probably positive.
Challenge to redietz. We bet every NFL regular season game. You make the picks. If you lay the fav I get 2 extra points. If you take the dog I get a 2 point discount. Easy pickings for you.

This would never get past gaming commission, it's not even likely it's a holdover from the convention demo because those menus just pre-determine the RNG values and don't need to mess with the math.

Anyways, assuming a 1/2/5/10/25c demons with 80 credit min bets & 1/2/3/4/5 bet multipliers, at a 10 unit EV per starting state that's $5000 EV per machine. Very lucrative.

Video poker Double Up bug made it through. Do the gaming commission regulations apply to Indian casinos ?
