Not sure what the "rolleyes" was about, but if protecting your longevity and anonymity was your primary goal, the proper answer to giving an interview would have been "no", as would be the answer to any and all follow up questions. Just in the reading I've done over that last hour or so, you've talked about your life like a lifetime movie.

Since you are new here, Dave , I will respond to this.

Do you know how and why some personal information about me, like that I am gay or even the 3 month homeless period as I finished high school, came to be known? neither is something I initially brought up out of the blue.

I was asked to do an interview at Wizard of Vegas forum in 2012. I don't think wizard was doing his podcast back then but even if he was, I wouldn't have done that for obvious reason. So it was the be a written question and answer interview by Mission146, who was a moderator at the time. In the pre-interview discussion Mission explained that people wanted to know more about me, than just the card counting stuff and asked if there was anything I would not be willing to talk about and I said no. Maybe that was a mistake.

So during the interview, I mentioned my Partner, in the context of our video poker play at the time. That lead to a follow up question by a member (not Mission146) asking if that partner was only a business partnership or a personal partnership as well. In other words, he was asking straight forward if I was gay. I could have said that isn't relevant, which would have only led to speculation, but I decided to answer. And that is how it became commonly know that I am gay. It is completely irrelevant to me as far as anything I share about my blackjack career and experiences but apparently it is problematic to many others.

During that same interview Mission asked about volunteer work that I had mentioned I did at the time at a homeless shelter. I only mentioned this in conjunction with my AP play. On Tuesday mornings, I would spend 3 hours doing laundry at the shelter in North Las Vegas, and then my partner and I would visit nearby, Jerry's nugget, for lunch and collect our weekly cash (jerry's nugget gave cash back then instead of free play) and each play a $25 match play and a $25 free play coupon at the blackjack table.

So when mission146 asked about my volunteering at the homeless center, I shared that I had spent 3 months when I was 18 and finishing High school living in a homeless shelter, and it was important to me to give back a little. THAT is how that information came to be known.

So it isn't like I decided to just share every aspect of my life. These things came up during an interview and I answered honestly, as I agree to do. And the haters have been twisting and turning and using things like that against me ever since.

I mean yeah, maybe I should say nothing when these haters lie, saying high school drop out, and all the other lies they repeat daily. It is obviously their insecurity not mine. Maybe I should work on that.
