Thread: Advice you would give to Gambling Newbies? :)

Advice I would give to Gambling Newbies is.

Use Stop Limits. Both positive and negative. If you come in with say a $100, play with ONLY that $100. If you win a $500 spin, STILL play with ONLY that $100. Once the $100 is gone, RUN out of that Casino with the $500. One of my Casino Friends won $500 and lost it all back, AND lost his entire Bankroll. And was pissed off at himself losing the $500 win and his entire Bankroll. What he did was the WRONG thing to do.

Think of Comps as an added bonus, not the goal. I definitely found myself chasing Comps and lost money when before Comps were introduced to my local Casino I was playing to win, not for chasing Comps.

The House doesn't ALWAYS win, but it OFTEN wins. Casinos were NOT built on Winners, but if Casinos ALWAYS took money and never gave payouts, they'd be out of business soon. So they do give HUGE payouts while taking MOST of the money.

Slot Video Uploaders are for ENTERTAINMENT, not for REAL LIFE. Viewers have complained about losing their money after watching Popular Slot Video Uploaders play $100 a spin and win $10,000 and them playing $100 a spin and losing all their money. Slot Video Uploaders USUALLY ONLY upload their WINNING Videos and NOT their LOSING videos. Lady Luck, a VERY popular Slot Video Uploader herself admitted she LOSES more than she WINS.

The "So close," Progressives are ACTUALLY VERY FAR away. The Progressive that says it's only about $40 away is actually more like $100,000 coin in away. People have said they hit a $10,000 Progressive but actually LOST $20,000 in CASH chasing the $10,000 Progressive. Ouch. :/

Always gamble with money that you DON'T NEED. NEVER gamble with money you NEED. A Woman told me she lost her RENT MONEY in slots that day. Ouch . Keep this simple advice in mind. "The money you are walking into the Casino with today, you might end up wishing you had tomorrow."

Asking complete Strangers to play on your Player's Club Card in order to get Promotions, free play, gifts, Comps is a bad idea and could get you temporarily or permanently banned. I did this until I accidentally asked the same person twice to play on my Player's Club Card and he complained and I got a 24 hour ban. Ouch. So definitely asking complete Strangers to play on your Player's Club Card is a bad idea if the complete Stranger complains.

Darkoz actually earned free food by ONCE ACCIDENTALLY leaving his Player's Club Card in his machine and when he came back a complete Stranger was inadvertently playing on his Player's Club Card and earned him free food. Accidentally leaving your Player's Club Card and having people inadvertently earn you free food isa LOT different than outright asking complete Strangers to play on your Player's Club Card.

Another Poster said he PURPOSELY used to leave his Player's Club Card a LOT of times hoping that random people would play on his Player's Club Card and earn him free Comps, free play, giveaways, etc. Doing what he used to do is VERY RISKY ad eventually the Casino WILL notice that the SAME person is ALWAYS leaving his Player's Club Card behind after playing. There is a HUGE difference between ONCE ACCIDENTALLY leaving a Player's Club Card behind and doing this every single time you play at a Casino.

Bonuses are just that Bonuses and shouldn't be the be all end all goal. LOTS of People play BIG money trying to get the Bonus and end up PISSED when they either get nothing, break even, or win just a LITTLE profit. They claim that the game owes them a good Bonus. No, the game doesn't owe anything. Bonuses are just Bonuses once again.

Malfunctions happen. I personally got the Bonus Symbols on Village People Slot and even got congratulated by the Player playing next to me. The screen turned BLACK all of a sudden and the Slot Technician rebooted it and I automatically assumed that my Bonus would start. When the game Cake back, by Bonus Symbols were GONE and I told the Slot Technician I got the Bonus Symbols and my Bonus was supposed to stop. The Player next to me admitted she saw the Bonus Symbols come up. The Slot Technician did a History spins check and none of the History spins check showed my Bonus Symbols. I was baffled on how the spin that gave me the Bonus Symbols vanished. Malfunction.

There are different types of Malfunctions however. One is much more fucked up and is more of a winnable case, the other is not. One malfunction had a Woman play $2.25 and she got a screen saying she won about $42 Million. She asked the Casino for a check of the roughly $42/Million and the Casino denied the win because it was a LEGITIMATE MALFUNCTION and she was livid. She said they owed her what the screen said she won. Investigation showed that that machine she was playing at had only a Maximum of about $6,000, not MILLIONS. They offered her her spin money back and a free steak dinner. She was LIVID and continued to push that she wanted her roughly $42 Million. She sued and settled for an undisclosed amount. In her case, the roughly 42 Million was a LEGITIMATE MALFUNCTION.

There is completely different types of Malfunction that is a REALLY fucked up malfunction, and that's the one where the screen shows three winning Jackpot Symbols on a single line for say 13 Million (Megabucks example)and the Casino claims that the SCREEN is malfunctioning and the ACTUAL reels inside show a non winning spin. This one is VERY winnable and MUCH more likely to get paid the FULL Jackpot. In a nutshell, the Slot merely saying,"42 Million win!" Is a legitimate malfunction. A three winning Jackpot Symbols on a line being called a malfunction is VERY winnable in Court.

Hitting slot machines in anger and causing damages to it can land you in BIG financial trouble. Don't let a short burst of anger cost you THOUSANDS in damages.
Take comfort in the fact that no one is actually backing up his wishes to have you permanently banned.

How does the casino notice you leaving your card behind?

The card machine has a limited time window where the card reader will read something like,"Session abandoned/ please try again," when there is no activity on the slot for a certain amount of time. The Casino Staff Members remove the Player's Club Card from the slot. Eventually they'll notice something shady is going on when ONE Player has FIVE abandoned Player's Club Card in slots EVERY single Casino visit.. A Gambler who visits a Casino every day for a week and abandons FIVE Player's Club Cards a day for 35 abandoned cards in slot machines in a single week is bound to be a HUGE red flag

You need to follow this sign, it’s the only gambling concern that should matter to you.

They all laughed at you at WoV for how little you have in savings for retirement, but you still don’t get it. You even admitted you borrowed from your 401k, possibly the stupidest move you ever made in a life filled with them.

Wake up and get Gambling out if your mind, it’s not going to change your life.

An easy way to recover from a loss is to just keep betting more & more until you get your money back plus a profit.

Always bring as many ATM cards & credit cards as you own with you so if you run out of money you have a way to keep pulling out more.

If hit your daily ATM withdrawal limit, try going to the cage. They often have a way to exceed your daily ATM limit for a small fee.

Always bring your checkbook with you because if you run out of cash or hit your credit limit on cash advances many casinos can link your bank amount and can pull money out directly from your checking account to keep playing.

Never gas up your car or eat before going to the casino. You might need that extra money you would have spent on gas or food to keep playing.

Before going to the casino always collect all the change you have and bring it with you. Many casinos will convert your change to cash for free, or if they don’t you can always find a coinstar location near to the casino to convert your change to cash to stay in the action.

If you run out of gambling money in the casino you can always walk around and look for small amounts of credits people left in the machines & cash them out until you have enough for a bet. Sometimes you will get real lucky and people will have accidentally left large amounts of credits you can cash out. If this happens cash them out fast & quickly move to another part of the casino.

Before leaving to the casino identity pawn shops located nearby & bring any valuables your own to the casino with you.

If you have exhausted all other sources of funds walk around the casino & start asking people if they have $5 “for gas.”

When walking through the casino always look at the floor. Oftentimes people will drop chips, money, or slots tickets on the floor that you can pick up.

Try to play right before your rent or other large expenses are due, so that extra money will be available for you to keep playing if you hit a brief unlucky streak.

K.Stone is stuck to the sole of one of my custom made alligator shoes like a bit of low end (nothing like Charmin) toilet paper.

Still, there’s no such thing as bad press!

Hmm. Make sure you are on the RIGHT denomination when gambling on multi denom slots. A guy said that he had a $40 bankroll and THOUGHT he was playing a penny machine at .20 a spin(This was when the minimum for a LOT of slots was .20 and not .50). After two losing spins, he hit spin one more time and was baffled on why the Slot wouldn't let him play anymore. He was accidentally playing a DOLLAR Machine and had been playing $20 a spin, not just .20 He said something like,"I lost my entire Bankroll in just two spins by accident, I fucked up REALLY badly, LMAO!"

It happened to me too in a way, thankfully not as bad as accidentally losing $40 in two accidental bets. I was playing some sort of Jester game and I got a line of Kings for $3. I thought,"This is only 6 times my bet, not REALLY a huge win. I kept playing and I realized my money was going down way quicker than it should have. It turned out that I was accidentally playing a 5 cent denomination slot and not a 1 cent machine. I had accidentally been playing $2.50 a spin, not just .50 The $3 win was actually a $15 win that I didn't know at the time.

Make sure you are actually betting ALL the lines in a game like Megabucks. People have been baffled when they see the Megabucks Symbols align and they don't get paid and it turns out the Megabucks Symbols came on a line that they weren't playing.

Lowering the bet when your Spouse purposely was playing Max Bet is a bad idea. A Husband was playing Megabucks at Max Bet and had to pee. He has his Wife give him a pee break and while he peed, she lowered the Bet from $5 to a dollar. She got the Megabucks Symbols and won $1,000.

When her Husband came back from the bathroom break, she excitedly told him she won him a $1,000 on a $1 bet. Immediately alarmed that she won on a $1 bet when he had been playing $5 Max Bet, he looked and sure enough, she did win $1,000. He was VERY furious and punched his Wife in her face and she fell out of the seat. Casino Staff had him arrested for domestic abuse. It turns out if she didn't lower the bet, she would have won $1 Million. Wife was most likely wondering why he punched her after she won him $1,000 on a $1 bet.

People were saying stuff like,"The guy was an idiot. She won him an extra 200 spins. He could have easily won the Million within the 200 extra spins she won him. By punching her he is in jail, lost out in the $1,000 Wife won him, Wife most likely filed for divorce, he most likely is banned from that Casino for life.

I spoke of asking complete Strangers to play on your Player's Club Card is a bad idea. The kind of reverse is a bad idea too, actually playing on their Player's Club Card. A guy was asked by a pretty innocent looking lady who nicely asked to play on her Player's Club Card because she just needed five points to get a Burger Meal Comp and she was hungry. He was like,"No harm in playing on your Player's Club Card so you can geta Burger Meal Comp. He played on her Player's Club Card and he hit a Jackpot while her card was in his machine. All of a sudden she stopped being nice and claimed that was HER Jackpot money since her Player's Club Card was in his machine when he hit. He cussed her out and took out her card and told her to leave before he reported her to Casino Staff Members.

Letting people spin your slot machine for you on your money is also a bad idea. A man asked his Casino Friend to do a slot spin for luck for him. It was HIS money, she spun and lo and behold, the spin that she punched on his money won a $100,000 Progressive. The Casino saw that SHE spun the button, so she was awarded the entire $100,000. She asked the Casino Staff Members to pay her in private and make sure the guy didn't follow her for any money. She got paid the money and asked Casino Staff Members to escort her to her car which they did. She drove off with the entire $100,000 and didn't give him ANY of the money that was 100 percent HIS money. He was baffled and hurt that she stole his $100,000 jackpot. Days later she texted him if he still hated her. He responded something like,"How could you steal my $100,000? I trusted you.

She replied something like,"I miss you," which was a really fucked up thing to respond. She should have said something like,"You're right, it is fucked up that I stole the entire $100,000 from you. I'll give you $50,000. "

He threatened her saying something like,"You messed with the wrong person with stealing my $100,000. You shouldn't have fucked me over and you're going to regret fucking me over. She told a news station or something like that,"I was just about to give him $50,000 but he is now threatening me. I will permanently keep the entire $50,000 and permanently cut off all ties with him. " The guy tried to file a lawsuit but was told he waited too long to try to file a lawsuit and a lawsuit would not be filed. Sad story for the guy. So once again , letting other people spin on slots for you with your money is a REALLY bad idea.
Take comfort in the fact that no one is actually backing up his wishes to have you permanently banned.

Be sure to leave a nice tip for the clean up crew when shitting on the casino carpet.

Don't take fentanyl offered by "casino friends:" they're just vulturing and want your machine.

When gambling the rent money be sure to verify your pup tent is in good working order.

When losing at slots ask the slot tech to tip you, saying "It's your turn."

Druff doesn’t give a fuck about anyone so I don’t blame him. But I do blame the creepy dude over at WoV for allowing this gambling degenerate back just for his own humor. He knows she has a gambling problem but he doesn’t care as long as she provides him some cheap entertainment.

Her recent admissions on her financial situation currently with overdrafted bank accounts and the lack of retirement savings are huge red flags that she has a gambling problem, but he doesn’t care.

Maybe her mom needs to visit the site like happened with TimSpeed years ago to discuss how he ruined his and their life with his gambling. I believe he’s the only person banned because of his gambling problem and the drama it brought to the site.

Nah...with your advice karen McIntasha created her own AP: now she lures the vultures toward her then bonks them on the noggin and stuffs then into her hideous handbag to feast upon in her Miami hovel.

"Tastes like chicken" she beams...and we all know just how much she loves chicken...

Bring plenty of mouthwash & lotion to the casino.

That way you can always jerk & suck your way out of a bad loss.

I don't think Dan Druff is as different from Shackleford as you think. Just this week, several days ago, I forwarded Druff a Pm sent to me by Tasha asking me to send her $100 via Pay pal. So Druff also KNOWS she has a gambling problem and is now soliciting money via this forum. He chooses to do nothing about it. Just another peg in the decline of this so called "gambling forum".
Dan Druff: "there's no question that MDawg has been an obnoxious braggart, and has rubbed a ton of people the wrong way. There's something missing from his stories. Either they're fabricated, grossly exaggerated, or largely incomplete".
