Well, in the real world we lawyers are not supposed to allow something to be presented to the court that we KNOW to be untrue. So, for example in a criminal case, if our client tells us that he did it, we cannot put him on the stand if we know he is going to flat out say he did not do it.

V, in your haste to give your usual weak level of support to the underdog, you're referring to a "declared" war zone, aka "between specific countries" and/or countries that support terrorists in this case. We are currently "at war" with multiple proxies of Iran, as proven by the hundreds of missiles and drones fired at our fleets, as well as the number of terrorists our navy kills in retaliatory attacks. Declared war is unnecessary in order to be at war.
