Chone experienced fear, a very unfamiliar feeling.
"I think we're fucked" he yelled over the screaming wind, his words barely audible through the torrential downpour.
The water quickly rose above the roadway.
"It would be best if the two of you climbed upon my back" suggested Rashid; "and let me carry you."
"I and I ain' never beens ridin' no 'gator a-fore" chimed in Karen McIntasha as she plopped her plump derriere astride the reptilian savior, "but it be better 'n 'dat..."
She pointed toward a huge python which slithered toward them until warded off by a ferocious roar from Rashid.
Soon they were adrift, trying to stay upright, and then a tornado hit: up, up and away they flew, somehow hanging on, until they were deposited unceremoniously in the pond outside the Hialeah Park Casino.
The wind began to die down; Rashid said "I'll bid you adieu for now, but we'll meet up later for Bingo: " and with that he submerged in the pond, intent on wooing a cute 'gator he'd espied.
"Oh Chone, has we died? Is we in Heavens?"
