I tell you it’s wonderful to be here, man. I don’t give a damn who wins or loses. It’s just wonderful to be here with you people.

My comments about F1 were based on what happened last year, at the first race: it was deemed profitable.
I used to be a fan of F1, back when Senna, Prost and Mansel were ACTUALLY racing, with sharp passing, slicing and dicing: but they're gone, the cars have changed, and "The Show" is now about as entertaining as NASCAR, i.e. "not much fun at all," given things have devolved to playing "follow the leader."
I attended short track races in Portland years ago, til it ended: now THAT was TRUE racing.
What, Me Worry?
I don't care what the promoters claim or the news media parrots, or what obscene number the tourist agency comes up with, interest in this F1 event was way down from last year. Walking traffic on the strip was that of an average to below average Saturday night, just a little harder to get around. And the casinos, while they weren't empty like a couple nights prior, just weren't that busy for a Saturday night either. I got an open seat at a BJ table almost every casino I walked in. Most Saturday nights are not like that. Maybe the premium seating ares of the race and other touristy spots were busy, I don't know.
I did have one funny experience where I was walking down the strip on the west side and stopped for a second for the person I was with to catch up and some girl with race credentials around her neck ran up and told me I couldn't stop to watch the race. I told her I didn't give a shit about the race and got to briefly explain that all the race is to me is traffic nightmare and construction detours for 2 months. She meekly gave me a 'I'm sorry". Almost sounded sincere.
It really was ideal situation for me. When I play the strip on a Saturday night or other busy time, I am looking for somewhat crowded conditions to play in the shadow of other bigger bettors and not stand out, but want to be able to fairly easily get a seat also. With extra tables open like they were expecting bigger crowds than there were, it was the best of both worlds for me. Didn't turn into a huge winning night or anything, but there was easy EV to be had, with minimal hassles.
Next up: Thanksgiving weekend and then the rodeo weekends. BTW, I will take the rodeo people over the F1 and people any day. At least the rodeo people don't tear up the strip and hold the rodeo there.
Dan Druff: "there's no question that MDawg has been an obnoxious braggart, and has rubbed a ton of people the wrong way. There's something missing from his stories. Either they're fabricated, grossly exaggerated, or largely incomplete".
I caught the second half of the race on TV: what a bore: as predicted it was "follow the leader."
KJ, I'd read that the first year F1 did all it could to prevent people from watching the race without paying for it, but are you saying that you were not allowed to espy it while walking on an open, public sidewalk?
Sounds...oh, I don't know..."illegal?"
What, Me Worry?
The F1 is just typical Vegas nonsense and foolishness, like that ridiculous Sphere. Just the typical mal-investment and circus and breads idiocy symptomatic of dying, late stage capitalism, hey hey.
This retard clearly can't afford a concert at the Sphere.
I love the Sphere
Saw 30 Dead and Co shows at the Sphere
One of the best sounding venues I've ever been to
Excellent customer service
Good food but of course pricy
Great entertainig video background for the band
Hopefully the Dead and Co rumors for a 2nd residency this coming Spring pan out
This is my Forum man, I own it!
Final tally of purchased tickets: 134,000 over 3 days
Keep in mind a lot of these were 3-day tickets, which were counted as 3 people (lol)
Also keep in mind a lot of people did NOT show up for the first few days, on their 3-day ticket.
Last year's paid attendance was 315,000.
Final day only had 57,000 paid tickets, which while the best of the 3 days, still left a lot of seats empty.
Gigantic FAIL.
Hotel/Airbnb prices way down compared to 2023.
Before the event, Caesars CEO Tom Reeg warned that F1 was going to be disappointing for the company compared to last year.

Why would this ever be illegal to hire some girl to tell people to move along? It is someone's first amendment right. Perhaps some sort of misdemeanor harassment ordinance?
Were you even a real attorney? Mdawg as obsessed and crazy has he may be always seems to understand the law. Often with detailed insight.
