It's more of a placard in memory of the guy who started this forum and ran it for 6 years. I decided it will stay up permanently. This forum wouldn't be here today if not for Alan's starting the "Alan Best Buys" forum, making a "Las Vegas" section, and leaving the whole place mostly unmoderated so APs had an alternate place to go.

The problem with your "lies and misdirections" are that they substantially change the stories, or in one case, actually involved faking your own death! That's a lot different than changing little details! It is fine to morph small, inconsequential details of your own stories in order to protect your privacy. For example if I were telling a story about something happening at a casino on August 13, but didn't want it known I was at that casino on August 13 for whatever reason, it wouldn't be harmful to claim the story occurred on September 13. Why? Because the date is inconsequential, and doesn't change the story at all. So if it were just little things like that, I would give you a pass for telling lies.

Unfortunately, you change/insert major details, and then end up claiming things which sound unlikely/impossible, which then leads to people putting in the work to disprove it, which then leads to you first acting outraged for being questioned, and then ultimately admitting you fibbed.

It's been the same song for years. Nobody else seems to have this issue on these gambling/AP forums. Ever wonder why?

I was in my 20's. 2nd year In Las Vegas. Held up at gun point outside of the building I lived just off strip. The guy demands "my bankroll" so I knew it wasn't random and related to my forum posting. I didn't drive at the time. Walked from that building to the strip everyday. I was concerned about future incidents. I panicked. I thought if the person read I was sick and passed, it would end it.
