Although I have nothing against Soxfan - I believe the VCT member you are actually thinking of Tasha is Bosox. Bosox doesn't seem to be that active these days.
I think Tasha is thinking of the right guy. Both have been active at GF, where soxfan didn't come across as quite so angry for a long time. He was just one of many baccarat and system players making ridiculous claims. As time has gone on he has gotten nastier.
One of the things that stood out to me is soxfan once told me he was on a blackjack card counting team 30 years ago. BUT the guy doesn't seem to know much about card counting or EV or other math concepts.
And now is is just another baccarat nut job.
