    Yeah, you're "confused" alright.

What's this about you claiming that you "had to put the Cashier name/Number who processed the Jackpot and a LOT of other little things?"

What other "little things" did you yourself have to put on the W2-G?

I ask because I get W2-G's pretty regularly and I NEVER have had to write "the Cashier name/Number who processed the Jackpot and a LOT of other little things" on the W2-G: fact is, the player writes NOTHING, the W2-G is prepared by the casino, not the player, based solely on the info you provided when you got the player's card you had in the machine when you hit: the casino, not the player fills in the info you mentioned.

That's the way the Oregon tribal casinos do it; I cannot imagine the process differs in Miami.

Of course if you were stupid enough to hit without using a player's card then the staff would need to verify your name, address and SSN but that would be ALL you'd be required to provide as the casino, not the player, types in the machine number you hit on: it is called "race" on the form, at line 6; as for the name of the cashier it is called ""cashier" at line 8 but no real names are used, only initials and numbers.

Riverjordan, I mean Karen, I mean Tasha: I think you're making this up, right?

When I said,"Write," I was referring to what I had to manually write for my taxes. I manually entered the W-2G into the TurboTax App. The Casino filled out the W2-G but I was fully responsible for manually entering everything into the TurboTax App.

The Cashier who processed the Jackpot was referenced by a letter and some numbers. I don't get why you think hitting a Jackpot without a Player's Club is STUPID. A lot of People don't play with Player's Club cards, especially people just doing quick one day visits from other Cities, Countries, or States. A LOT of people also like to play unrated, not wanting to be tracked, so they play without Player's Club cards.

I tipped the guy who verified my Jackpot and paid me a $20 and he smiled a grateful and happy smile and thanked me and I welcomed him.
