What is happening with Walgreens is expanding way too much. Walgreens ended up being oversaturated, so it was a thing of,"Too much of a good thing," so a LOT of Walgreens ended up closing. I'm beyond lucky that MY Walgreens is safe as it's in a VERY busy location, but a LOT of Walgreens in less busy places shut down or are going to shut down.
Also, a LOT of Walgreens closed because of rampant shoplifting/looting. Walgreens has a "Do not apprehend Shoplifters," so what happens is that Shoplifters literally stuff duffel bags and shopping carts and just steal to their hearts content while Employees and Staff can just meekly call the police and HOPE the Police get there in time and stop the shoplifters but often the Police show up like TEN minutes after the Shoplifter left with a whole bunch of stolen merchandise and is already 3 miles away. Then the store can make a report about the shoplifters and the stolen merchandise.
But I do often wonder what happens if Walgreens goes out of business for good like Woolworth's, Sears, Montgomery Ward, Kmart, Toys R Us, or Blockbusters. If Walgreens goes out of business, I'm out of a job and it's the ONLY job I have and have ever had and let's put this into perspective. I'm old enough to be a GRANDMOTHER(So, I'm not say some YOUNG Gen Z who was born in 2005 and has PLENTY of jobs available).
I have been working for Walgreens long enough that a NEWBORN born on the day I was hired is now getting ready to graduate high school!I'd be FUCKED if Walgreens goes out of business for good.
I guess if Walgreens goes out of business for good, I'd get a job at Walmart which is NOT in any foreseeable financial trouble.

I'd be FUCKED if Walgreens goes out of business for good.
Thank you Dan!
