EvenBob or spike as you call him, did have a basic understanding of card counting because I spoke to him about it a couple times. Funniest story your EvenBob/Spike told me was years ago, probably decades (many) ago that he was a cab driver and used to pull up to a casino and leave his cab running while he went inside to gambler. I mean that could have been shades of Richard Dryfusss or the other cab driver "Looney' from the movie Let it Ride, if they incorporated a casino scene into the movie.
