Thread: A new tale of a Dawg and his tail

ATLANTIC CITY — One of the most consequential debates in the gambling world right now is whether internet betting will eventually replace in-person gambling, or whether the two can be harmonized.

Many casinos firmly believe the answer is that both can coexist within the same company.

The latest example of this effort is underway at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, where a new baccarat game lets people physically inside the casino play with gamblers betting online.

Borgata says it is the first dual-play baccarat game serving a licensed gambling jurisdiction in the U.S.

“Dual Play Baccarat is one of the best ways to bring the excitement of live table games to our online casino players,” said Oliver Bartlett, BetMGM’s vice president of gaming product and content.

"This dynamic addition bridges the energy of our casino floor with the convenience of online play, offering players an immersive and seamless way to engage with one of their favorite games," said James Bruno, Borgata's vice president of casino operations.

Last August, Borgata launched Dual Play Roulette on its premises and online. Since then, it has been one of Borgata’s most popular table games "and continues to deliver impressive numbers online," the company said.

If it’s only dynamic it might not make it.

Normally something like this has to be both dynamic and robust to be able to succeed.

It is immersive & seamless though so that might be enough to offset the lack of robustness.

Every party has a pooper...he explained that it would bridge the energy of the casino floor with the convenience of online play.

Isn't that exciting enough...to be able to press, along with the world's top players, into the streaks?

This innovation came about after they surveyed players and asked what was the main thing keeping them away from physical tables. The top response was the stench of their fellow bettors.

To effectively mitigate the disruptive impact of a bad odor, a holistic, multisensory experience should be curated that maximizes user engagement and cognitive immersion. By integrating dynamic environmental controls, such as adaptive air filtration systems, localized scent masking, and climate optimization, you can leverage sensorial recalibration to neutralize any unwanted sensory stimuli. Furthermore, the experience should be hyper-responsive, offering users autonomous customization options, allowing them to personalize their sensory profile in real-time through dynamic feedback loops.

In tandem with this, embedding a gamified reward structure driven by instant gratification mechanics will facilitate positive reinforcement, ensuring users remain emotionally anchored despite minor disruptions.

The addition of immersive narrative elements, driven by interactive storytelling frameworks, should ensure that users stay deeply invested in the experiential journey, shifting focus away from any undesirable externalities. Moreover, community-driven interaction models, such as social gamification or shared virtual experiences, can create a sense of collective engagement, enhancing the emotional resonance of the experience and reinforcing its perceived value.

Leveraging immersive technologies, like augmented reality (AR) or virtual reality (VR), further elevates the disruption mitigation strategy, allowing users to remain fully immersed in the ecosystem, regardless of minor sensorial inconsistencies. By proactively integrating robust feedback mechanisms and contingency plans for odor mitigation, the experience becomes resilient and scalable, ensuring that user satisfaction metrics are continuously optimized while aligning with the core brand ethos of seamless engagement and high-touch personalization.

Synergistically, these strategies will empower users to bypass sensory overload, ensuring that they remain loyally engaged within the ecosystem while fully embracing the transformational potential of the experience, with all non-optimal sensory inputs rendered irrelevant within the overarching framework.

Yes, they are dynamic & robust.

They might put casino execs out of a job at some point since both of them are good at spitting out gobbledygook, but AIs do it better and cheaper.

    Two things:

    1) Have you considered nose plugs? They work great for keeping water out of your nose while swimming. They may work pretty well for stench.

    2) I'm not a big fan of Wikipedia as a source, but this isn't a bad intro. I actually read a Fog Index book for a course on Technical Writing at Penn State. The instructor taught communications courses at the Army War College.

Nose plugs and mouth breathing are both great ideas.

I guess you could also do what French aristocrats used to do back in the days of open sewers in Paris. Cover a handkerchief with strongly scented perfume and hold it against your nose.

I do that whenever I log on here. It doesn't work.

With the right coaxing they can also compose poetry:

At the baccarat table, a plush velvet scene,
Where fortunes are won, and hopes intervene.
But tonight, a new element fills the thick air,
A pungent aroma, beyond all compare.

The cards are dealt, the tension is tight,
Yet noses are twitching, in dim smoky light.
For one player's presence, a truly foul blight,
A reeking offense, disrupting the night.

He bets on the banker, with sweat on his brow,
While others recoil, and whisper somehow,
"That stench is a hazard, a definite vow,
To empty this table, and clear it right now!"

The dealer, though stoic, with professional grace,
Holds back a grimace, and covers his face.
He deals the next hand, at a quickened pace,
And dreams of fresh flowers and wide open space.

The high rollers wrinkle their noses in dread,
As odors like gym socks and old cheese are spread.
"Perhaps," one suggests, "he's already quite dead?
Or bathing in something that's best left unsaid?"

The game stumbles onward, a fragrant disgrace,
A battle of fortunes, and terrible space.
And though luck may be fickle, and cards interlace,
That odor's the real winner, in this smelly place.

Wow! That is incredibly good for an AI bot.

What does anyone need people for anymore?

It just dawned on me that you could get some extra income, by moonlighting in smelly places and holding peoples nostrils shut with your pinchers while they play.

You might have to clean off your pinchers first though so the smell of balls doesn’t get into their nostrils instead.

Take that sentiment with a grain of salt,
these AI bots over rate each other with their reviews.

Be who you must, that's a part of the plan
Await your arrival with simple survival
And one day we'll all understand

I tend to surprise people just coming out of the shower, so their balls are pretty fresh and clean. Thank you for the tips though.

I thought niggardly sand peoples did not fuck females on their period. Do they make exception for hoofed mammals?

    Please, and do, carry on.
Magic of music is to make any instrument sound great. What a forum of thus satisfaction, despite the clowns and other losers. I found the numeral, 78230, in nature, given that the time of my 75th post was 7:08, and, its spot #304=(2^2+300)-->23. And, by the sizes of the little, images: 7.8KB, and, 4.8KB=(2^4X0.3)-->23; p<[1/(5X050X5)^2]. (300/4)=75; (16-0.3)=15.7-->1/57-->75. (296/53.333...)=5.55. (1200/16.3)-->[10X7+2+1].[6][196√91][9][183]; (1200X16.3)-->[1961-7+2]. (78^2 - 23^2)=5555. Ha!
