To tie this discussion back to Mammie Tales... the digits of pi supposedly contain every possible finite string of digits. If, for example, you encoded one of Mr. V's Mammie Tales with A=01, B=02, etc. and assigned two-digit numbers to all the punctuation, spaces, line breaks, etc. and concatenated these numbers, then you could conceivably find this string of digits in pi. In a sense, God has already written every Mammie Tale that could ever be written.

Garnabby, have you ever tried the five fives puzzle? The object is to find an expression using exactly five instances of the digit 5 (and no other digits) that equals 1, 2, 3, 4, ... up to N, perhaps N=55. You can use normal operations and parentheses and concatenation, but nothing exotic like roots or factorials, etc. Some rules allow decimals like 5.5 and the repetend bar for .5555555555555...

The only sort of that that I was interested in, "The Four 4s Puzzle — Back in the early 1900s, the famous physicist Paul Dirac took interest in this puzzle and found a general solution for all positive integers. Dirac managed to solve the puzzle using only logarithms and radicals (square root)." I instinctively feel "trapped" by thus puzzles. Like going to a movie, the trade off "damned if do, damned if don't". Don't like being isolated or limited while involved with something.
My mother, a farm wife, a couple of times won a major US newspaper number contest - at a good chunk of what was paid for a farm, back then - by arranging, say, a ten-by-ten grid of four-digit numbers, to find, say, the most 5's in the totals of their rows, and columns. Long before computers.

With that Karen retreated to her lonely attic garret where she noticed that the walls started to glow in vibrant colors, the computer spoke to her (in Turkish...go figure) and such a flood of ideas hit her that she dropped to the floor in spasms of asexual ecstasy.

When you do a cross word puzzle do you not mind the number of letters in the answers or make sure that where two words cross they have the same letter? Once Karen heard the snorts and snores from Mammie's favorite chair, she got up and retrieved the hidden camera she had earlier hid in the kitchen. After some editing, she uploaded the video of her floor shitting and subsequent humiliation to her OF account. Soon she saw her account balance increasing nicely. Sitting on a massive OF fortune while pretending to be a broke Walgreens cashier was her best kept secret.
She suddenly got a notification of a message from one of her most generous fans, Mohammed Wizbang, who lived in Dubai with his 3 wives and 11 inbred children. Mohammed said that Karen could make a lot more money if she went to Dubai and let rich Arab shieks shit on her in person, and that he would happily set her up with clients for a modest cut. Karen mulled it over. It was one thing to get covered in one's own shit, but quite another to take steaming loads from strange butts from parts unknown.
