Thread: The Riddler Struck...Again

  1. #1
Well, the Eagles made it to the SB, which means that, given the ML, The Riddler once again made money for his criminal followers. Not a ton of money, mind you, but a good solid profit. The Riddler amazes me. What is he now? Seven of seven making money? Or is it eight of eight? I lose track of his exploits.

It's a shame he's not an AP. I'm sure he'd make a ton more money than he does.

Anyway, he permanently retired from posting here, as he feels unappreciated given that his posts always make money. But if you guys could scrape together some donut cash, I'll pass along his latest missive to me. Shhhhh.

Since football is done, I'm not sure what he's referring to, but the uber educated APs (you know, the ones who date "college educated") could probably figure it all out. Or monet. Anyway, without further ado:

    "Riddle Me This:

McConaughey, at home, picking up older ladies.
Ma Kettle was heard in his moaning.
Elvis, liking young girls, sat at home with his paydays.
Robed, not-blue Pazuzu heard them all groaning.

    They all spread their seeds
    Money shot after shot.
    Surging deep and advancing
    In the rigged honey pot."

This may take some cogitating, as I'm pretty sure The Riddler is referring to multiple wagers here, but what do I know? He may just have watched too much porn this week.

You're actually pretty cool. Not. I'm so tired of NPCs.

Everything The Riddler has posted was playable. Every single one. Playable at the numbers quoted for at least the day of the post.

Other than that, you are spot on.

Well, the Steelers didn’t make it to the Super Bowl.

Where is the Riddler post that predicts Eagles going to or winning the Superbowl from months prior to this January 2025, post?
I tell you it’s wonderful to be here, man. I don’t give a damn who wins or loses. It’s just wonderful to be here with you people.

You know, you gotta hand it to this The Riddler dude. I finally figured out the first line of his last poem, posted on January 27.

"McConaughey, at home, picking up older ladies" turned out to be a pretty good wager at odds about 12-1 at the time. Get it? No?

McConaughey is from Texas. "Picking up older ladies" means he was seducing some, I believe they are called, cougars. And McConaughey's father actually played football for the, you guessed it, Houston Cougars.

Although the rest of the poem whiffed with two additional teams at odds of 150-1 and 300-1 respectively at the time, the Cougars somehow got their asses to the title game, which means...The Riddler made money AGAIN!! Even if you bet the same amount on the 150-1 and 300-1 shots as the 12-1 (and nobody would do that), The Riddler MADE MONEY!!

    How does he do that???

Two years...EACH and EVERY RECOMMENDATION MADE MONEY!!!

Wow. Whoever this Riddler is, and wherever he may be, he's definitely a wanted man.

How much value did you give up by hedging?

    What a great question.

Let me point out that I'm not The Riddler. I just figured out who he took.

Allow me to also point out that if a person had Duke in bracket contests to win it all, there was no need for hedging that particular game, and if one had wanted to hedge via the spread for, say, the Purdue game, one would have won the hedge plus advanced the team.

But of course I can't speak for The Riddler.

    Great question, though, mickey. LOL.

You know, you would think someone who gambles a little would appreciate how phenomenal The Riddler has been. He has won every single time he posted anything on this forum.

So mickey, you've been gambling a long time. Have you ever seen anybody post in advance and win all these different wagers -- straight plays, bulk bets, futures, without taking a loss on any project? And had it all documented on a site in advance?

Boy, that Riddler must know his stuff. And he's so generous! Sharing it with everyone on this forum. Hard to believe he would be that generous without so much as a thank you. Not many "APs" do that, you know.

Because of your bullshit no chance to decipher riddles that only you would know the answer to, because you are the one that wrote it, I haven't read anything on the Riddler. Didn't know he was making picks. Still don't know if he made any picks. Don't know how many he won and/or lost.

All I know is you say the riddler won. But we also know your penchant for deception.

Yes, my penchant for deception. I fooled everyone by calling my business "Integrity Sports," and by weaseling my way into Who's Who in Sports Gambling by fooling a crusading born-again Christian publisher who I had never met and who recruited me based on my reputation.

I think the riddle involved was pretty easy, but that's because I've known The Riddler a long time. Let's review it again:

"McConaughey at home, picking up older ladies"

This refers to the most famous McConaughey, who is on commercials about every half hour with Woody Harrelson these days. That would be Matthew McConaughey, whose home is in Texas. Older ladies are often called "cougars," so that's self-evident. And Matthew's legal father played football for the Houston Cougars, which is the answer to the riddle.

I would love to hear Axelwolf's multiple interpretation theory for this riddle.

For The Riddler, I'd have to say this was one of his easy ones.

But it's okay if you didn't get the riddle. Neither did Axelwolf, evidently. It must be an "AP" thing.

The other teams in the riddle were Memphis and Wake Forest, by the way. Wake kind of got screwed as the fourth best ACC team, as I believe this is the first time the fourth best ACC team was left out of the tournament.

The problem you have here is you assume I read the riddle. I didn't read the riddle.

Well, I'll apologize to The Riddler for you. You don't want to hurt his feelings, what with him giving away all these profitable tips and such.

You should give your tips beforehand, not claiming afterwards you gave a tip.

I’m putting you on ignore for awhile so your bullshit doesn’t interfere with my day.

    This is the way.
I don't need or really even want the $$$ (I have way, way more than enough and I don't hunger for material possessions)

All of The Riddler's tips were given well beforehand. In this case, they were 10 weeks beforehand.

Mickey, if you need a spare calendar, I'll send you one. January comes before April. You haven't been nipping at MD again, have you?

Every time I watch "Two for the Money" I think of you Riddler.
