Thread: Coins for cash without the fee?

  1. #1
I'm trying to avoid going to a coinstar and paying the 12% fee or whatever it is and their 0% gift card fees don't interest me either. Are there any casinos that will cash in my coins for bills? I thought boyd would do it, specifically gold Coast but you need to be a higher tier card and Sam's Town said anything over $21 is a 10% fee. I know South Point is a 5% fee, but it's more out of principal to not even pay the 5%. Ellis Island maybe?

Does anyone know of any places in Vegas that will exchange it for free?

Edit: Ellis Island silver sevens do it. Is there a chance they might rip me off and skim change off me? Maybe better to just pay the 5% at South point. Then again how accurate are these Coin processors even? I counted out like $800 in change so I know I have at least that, with a lot more leftover that I didn't bother to count. If they tell me I got like 780, how can I call them out on it?

If you're worried about giving up a percentage of COINS then you really haven't made much of yourself in life. And you're not very street-smart--something any successful gambler learns about from the get-go.

Just walk into your bank and ask for coin wrappers, put your acct. no. on each one, and deposit it. No charge.

Or simply give the change away to other losers like yourself.

Imagine replying to a loser. Doesn't that make you an even bigger loser? Way to expose yourself. The ones who have made money and have money are naturally cheap. They can be millionaires and still trying to pitch every penny. The only exceptions would be guys who were given an inheritance or made money off stupid people like athletes and entertainers. They usually go broke for that reason. Don't worry, all the money you've lost in casinos, I recouped it. Just like all the other degenerates on here.

    Why am I so good?

Seriously... you think they are skimming off the change counts from customers? <<<<Thats retarded. There are more important things to be concerned with.

I have cashed in coins thousands of times. The casinos usually use a Brant coin sorter, and they are very accurate. Once in a blue moon, you might be short or over one coin if one gets hung up at the bottom. Coin Star machines are known to be off frequently, so I would avoid those.

Once in a while casinos will run promos where you get an extra percentage in free play when you cash in your coins. If you went to California during the COVID coin shortage you could make some decent money exchanging coins. IIRC it was 15-25% extra in free play.

Some banks might do it for free as well.

p.s. Just don't cash them in during holiday weekends, major events and avoid those Chinneeses prison coin sorters.

Just about zero chance Ellis Island will stiff you on your coins. That would be a big violation and they'd be making very little off of it.

It's useful info that you found. Thanks for that. I had never thought about exchanging coins, but yeah, wrapping them is a pain in the ass, and it sucks losing the fee to those machines you find in supermarkets.

Yeah heard about those promos back then. Also aware that some banks will do it. Thanks though

I can imagine how angry this clown gets when the option to donate the coins comes up on the screen. I can just see him going off on the machine while chewing his fingers threatening to shoot up the machine for trying to rip him off. Then printing the voucher and going to the cashier with it, trying to humiliate her over .09 cents.

Palms also confirmed. No fee but also no limit. Asked in person and on the phone. They seemed a little shaky though. If I had said I had more than 1k so who knows what their limit actually is. When saying like 600-800 they said sure no problem but didn't exactly sound that confident. Ellis Island and silver sevens seem to have a $500 cap when talking with them about limits. If you have more than that, just go to each place.

That's scarily accurate minus the shooting up the machine

Like Singer said, go to your bank, have them do it.

There should be no need to wrap the coins first.

I periodically have my bank swap my coins for currency; they put the unwrapped coins through their coin counter machine and do not charge me for the service.

Note I do understand the coins add up and it’s stupid when you play as much as you do to just give them away. And it’s an excuse by the casinos to not dispense them, living off the laziness of players and the excuse of a Covid coin shortage 5 years ago.

I just don't understand why you have to go to a forum to figure out how to cash out coins.
It's like when you texted me about leaving your car with valet when you were going to go out of town.
I mean, you figured out how to beat Vegas, but can't figure this trivial, mundane shit out???
    I swear, you're a dumb somabitch sometimes.
    Roll 'Em up for starters.
Use them when you put gas in the tank or buy groceries or whatever.
    Fuck.
Better yet, get a Fucking Girlfriend or Wife and make her Roll 'Em up.
8 Years in this town and no steady girl.

I REALLY think that the attacking, harassing, insulting, and bullying that Zenking is getting for being concerned that he could be getting ripped off out of his money is beyond unfair. Imagine a NEWBIE innocently asking where he could change his money and not get ripped off getting attacked, bullied, harassed, and insulted. That Newbie most likely would think,"What the fuck? I'm NEVER posting here again," and permanently leave. And Zenking does deserve credit for posting about an innocent subject instead of ranting about losing in Casinos.
Take comfort in the fact that no one is actually backing up his wishes to have you permanently banned.

    A. No one cares what you think she boon.

    B. If I’m wrong, and someone cares, what do you do with all the change you steal from the penny dish at work and around town?

    C. Do you know that the only thing with more shit on it than change is your floor?

Druff likes having a house nigger to laugh at around, like the creep at WoV. He has Tasha here and a stupid nog named Sonatine to laugh at over at PFA.

I don't get this post. Dan put me on a posting limit because I was under the impression that we could say anything with no consequences, so I trolled hard and ended up getting a posting limit (1 thread and 6 posts a day) . I had that posting limit for years even after I STOPPED Trolling. I mentioned I stopped Trolling and even apologized for the Trolling in 2020 and STILL had the posting limit as of VERY early September 2023. That's three years after I permanently stopped Trolling. Dan FINALLY acknowledged that I hadn't trolled in three years and lifted the Posting Ban a couple of days later on like September 9 2023

More lies, only thing correct is your retarted mind remembering the date of the lifting of your posting ban. Which by the way was one of the worst decisions of Druff’s life, right up there with not listening to a certain former friend of his on buying Bitcoin at $4 each.

By the way I heard you were awarded Employee of the year at Walgreens Tasha.

Customer at Walgreens asked Tasha for a pretzel, she asked if they wanted a fresh one. She said give me a minute and she obliged. Hot and steaming.

I throw coins in a tray in my vehicle. When it gets full I dump the coins in the Scan & Go’s in the supermarkets. You can lift up the coin slot and dump handfulls of coins down the chute.
Druff, let us know when you receive redietz’ credit score.
