The WSOP though is a whole culture/get together of people who have known each other for potentially decades. It may or may not make sense financially for people. If you play cash games then it isn't necessarily taxed. I've always heard the games are good or the games are bad. haha. I can't remember. The games are more likely to be better back home.
The games are a lot better in texas than anything you will find in vegas.
I was more referencing the "cash games are good at WSOP" thought. I don't know if that is even a belief anymore but I seem to recall it being a thing years ago. Whenever I've played cash I didn't feel that was the case. Game were about standard for LV. Lots of them but then the lines are so fucking long you waste so much time dealing with the waits.
Now that there are so many training sites and shit - it is hard to not get better at poker. So anyone who is big enough fan of the game to travel to the WSOP is going to have some learning under their belt most likely. It doesn't take much to make a horrible into a barely losing player.
Before 2003 the cash games at the WSOP were good the first week. Down to the rocks after that. It was all limit poker in those days.
