Oh, I can see it now. I'll advertise winning 87% versus the spread last year because it's to my "advantage" to do so. I'll lie about where I bet how much on what because "I have to leave holes in what I say." I'll lie about what my gambling record was because it's in my best interests. I'll lie about how I did in what competitions because then people can't check it out, locate my plays, and data mine what I was doing. I'll lie about what sites I use; I'll lie about what my rebates are; I'll lie about the best places to shop for futures because why share accurate info?

Honestly, I have posted stuff here for the "community good" that has cost me literally thousands of dollars. It's provably costing me at minimum a couple hundred dollars every single week.
I don't really care. It's not that I'm some masochistic Robin Hood. I just am old enough, and cynical enough, that I do not care. The money isn't going to break me, although I may eat one less Vic and Anthony's steak each month.
If a sports book is going to limit me or shut me down or stop my rebates because I publicly said something, well, LOL. Just proves (1) I know what doing, and (2) whatever I shared has some actual immediate value to others.
KewlJ is a selfish, lying, bullshitting plague. He should either grow a pair and tell some semblance of the truth or shut the hell up.

I feel worse for Kimmel than Colbert because Colbert was an overreaching maroon for a long time and pushed for the mRNA shots without knowing what the hell he was talking about. Kimmel has slowly, over time, gone off the deep end. He's finally at the point where it's grating to listen to him. These two are not just informationally challenged; they have, step by step, put on some pretend cloaks of the moral high ground and constantly done pulpit screeching. Their shows have become pseudo-religious in a way that's as or more directly "believe-me-I'm-a-moral-dude" than anything on the far right.
And I'm still left of Marx on capitalism/consumerism/medical coverage and so on, but the American left has, as Bill Maher says just about every day, gone completely bonkers.
I've enjoyed how all three late night hosts have flamed, lampooned and demaned Trump and MAGA over the years: free speech in action.
IIRC, Colbert and now Kimmel are getting muzzled because their employers need the gov't to approve their sale / reorganization and Trump, venal crook that he is, quietly insists they be axed or else "fuck you."

As for Kimmel and Colbert before him, I never really watched either. BUT you can't do what Trump wants to do without first eliminating free press/ and media and that he what he is attempting to do. He wants to eliminate any media that criticizes him, which is an important part of democracy.
And ironically, they are using the shooting of Charlie Kirk to accomplish this. While I agreed with almost nothing Mr Kirk said, he was a free speech guy. That is what he did and stood for.

I wagered on every play I ever released. Some years I made more money via the wagering than the "tout" business. I have been partnered with people for decades who I work with on a percent of profit basis. There is no way to fake or bullshit your way around that if the people know each other, which they do.

Being in a nationally distributed book every year that lists the records of handicappers dating back to roughly, what, 1975? The title of the book, published annually, was "Tipsters or Gypsters?"
How in God's name do you figure I lied about what I do when the name of my company, dating back to 1980, is "Bob Dietz's Integrity Sports?" How did I lie about what I do when I'm on newsstands nationally in Playbook for decades with the same moniker? How did I appear on television (Satellite Cable Handicap) and in newspapers writing op eds with the exact same name, Bob Dietz's Integrity Sports? The name of the company appeared in The Humanist when my essay, "Scientists, Gamblers, and Magicians" was published back in 1983. In every single case, I was clearly the owner of a handicapping service.

Bob Dietz, there is something Kim Lee said that got buried. He mentioned not only me, but several other advantage players that had to start very small and grow a bankroll and eventually "made it". "Never looked back" is the term he used. THAT is the model for most.
If you could really pick winners, enough to cover Vig and make a profit, that is what you would have done. Same as many other sports bettors. There would have been no need for selling picks (touting) and investors and using other people's money. That you did all those things is really proof that you couldn't pick winners at 53% like the top sports bettors, of which you so desperately want people to think you were.
And your little contests from 30-40 years ago, of which I am sure you did well in a few, that you hold out as evidence, is ONLY evidence that you were a tout. You used those cherrypicked contest results that you did well to sell your services. How many times did you tell perspective "tout" clients, that you did well in a contest in 1984?

On Bob Dietz's 40 year sports betting & Tout career.
I began betting sports at an advantage almost exactly 2 years ago, Sept 2023, after a number of years as a losing recreational sports bettor. Sports betting is a supplemental thing for me. I have always had supplemental advantage plays to compliment my main AP play, blackjack card counting.
Mostly my sports betting consists of the old bonus whoring from online casinos. I try to find different "angles" like the 1st 2 weeks NFL play, or betting baseball overs for 6 weeks in the summer when the ball is jumping, or even the away underdogs in NFL which has shown a profit for decades. I also tag along with a few handicappers and run simulations. Anything I can do to break even or as close to it as I can in the longrun which will maximize my profit from the bonuses
During this almost exactly 2 years, I am up $125 thousand dollars. That is right up to date including a $9000+ loss on this years 1st two weeks play. So that is 60K for each of the 2 years.
I will bet Bob Dietz hasn't made 60k a year from sports betting (I am certian of that) in any year. He probably hasn't made 60k from touting. If he had, he would be able to pay a $500 property tax bill.
And my 60k for the last 2 years is supplemental to my main AP income.
