I think the complainers are talking about water prices that are supplied in the rooms. Anyone stupid enuf to get anything from those drinks or snacks provided in their room deserves to get slammed. And LV Strip prices for that stuff isn't much different from similar hotels across the country.

Just stop the VIP check-in desk and help yourself to water.

If they do, take comfort in knowing that you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

It is more than that and you know it! People are complaining about extra fees and charges on every little thing along with the price-gouging high touristy charges. Vegas has become like Disneyworld in that regard, and that is NOT what Vegas was built on, nor used to be when real casino people ran Vegas. It is what Vegas has become when the corporations and business school brats took over. And the result is regular people, regular gamblers are staying away.

Don't casinos still give free alcohol to patrons who are actively gambling?

That was always a real draw for sin city.

This seemed a reasonable question MrV. I don't drink when I play, and really don't pay all that much attention to it, so I was hoping to let someone else answer. I think drinks (lower tier) are still free. But I don't think the waitresses come around as often as they used to. I know during the summer when it is hot and I wanted a water, it seemed like I had to wait half an hour for a waitress and another half hour to get the damn 6 or 8 ounce water. But on the other hand when I play a weekend night, like I do now, it seems most players have a drink in front of them.

    An hour at one table?

Did you quit playing after showing your max bet, and hang around the table until the waitress brought you the water?

Not likely. He wasn't finished "oiling" his board for his next fake trip to get sand kicked in his face along with that fake baby bro.

They sure do at Nevada casinos. Don’t know about anywhere else.

I don’t know of any Indian casinos outside of Nevada that offer them though although they may exist.

In player friendly markets like Reno some places will even bring free drinks for a couple if one person is playing and their SO is just watching them.

But in corporate places in Vegas a lot of them will go soup nazi if you try to get a second drink for your SO or if you order two drinks for yourself too quickly.

Every place is different though and I haven’t been a drinker for a long time so my info may be out of date,

Peppermill, GSR, and Atlantis bars ALWAYS offers free drinks to myself and my wife while I'm playing. I'm not sure if they'll do the same for nickel and quarter or even dollar players though.

But let's hear from LV's Man About Town, who claims to have visited and conquered Reno multiple times in the past. What do the journals and posts where you get all your gambling information from say kew?
