If a poster stops posting it could be something like they died or are having health issues, or are afraid of being doxxed, or had a major life change like a new job or lost their log in information, or went to jail or prison, or rehab.

Or they won the lottery and were advised to go dark, or they switched genders and no long feel comfortable posting as someone assumed to be of the other gender, or they lost their thumbs in an accident and forum posting is too physically painful, or they escaped from prison and don't want to be located by their posting history. (This last one requires that the poster was incarcerated in a facility that doesn't check butts for contraband internet devices.)

I don't know if this technically counts, but in another Website a Poster kept liking ALL of my posts. I was constantly getting alerts dye to his excessive liking ALL of my posts. I politely asked him to stop and pointed out I was getting bombarded with constant alerts because of him. He kept liking ALL of my posts despite me asking him politely to stop and mentioning getting bombarded with constant alerts because of him. I reported him to the Admins and Posters were disgusted with ME stating that they felt that he was trying to HELP me and they felt that I was being an ungrateful jerk for reporting him. I responded,"It's not helping me. He's harassing me."The admin questioned him why he was liking ALL of my posts and he responded that he liked all of my posts. The Admins told me how to block alerts and I did. So I was no longer being bombarded with constant alerts because of him.

A few months later, Posters were saying stuff like,"This guy is liking ALL of my posts and it's annoying. Karen Nathan was RIGHT when she reported him for liking ALL of get posts and instead of supporting her, we turned on her instead. Now the guy is liking ALL of our posts as well and we should all report him. They reported him and the Admins responded something like,"This Poster is excessively liking an alarming amount of posts. We have disabled his liking ability due to excessive use." Posters were happy that his liking ability was disallowed.
