What has changed is that the new $100 bills are in circulation. And there has been a lot of talk about having $500 bills printed again. Personally, I would like to see the $500 bill return but only if it was printed to honor President Ronald Reagan. If anyone deserves to belong on a $500 bill its Reagan who led this country in some of its most prosperous years.

But I don't think a $500 note would be very practical at all. Really... who is going to use a $500 bill except for a gambler or someone doing something illegal? I rarely carry more than sixty-dollars cash in my wallet and for any large purchase I use a credit card or a debit card.

I disagree.

We badly need the $500 bill back.

Would you have supported the elimination of the $100 bill in the early 1970s?

Probably not.

$500 today is worth less than $94 in 1973 dollars.

The $100 is like the $20 of the early-mid '70s.

Time to restore the $500 bill in the US.
