Thread: March offers from Caesars

  1. #1
I just got in the mail my first March offer from Caesars Palace, Las Vegas. I was curious to see if it would be in the same $$-range as my first quarter offers -- or if it might be reduced because of the bankruptcy.

Well, the offer $$-amount was reduced but of course I can't tell if it is because of the bankruptcy.

In the first quarter my offers were in the range of $600 to $700. My first offer for "shopping" in March is for $400.

Late last year my offers were in the range of $1000.

$400 of shopping in the Forum shops will not get me to Vegas. No thanks.

I've hit a new "offers" low.

I now have zero offers of any kind for Vegas.

I do have a few okay ones for Harrah's New Orleans and Harrah's Rincon.

I got mine from Cherokee and had one day for over $1200. That was a new high for me, I'm not as high a roller as you guys.

I have confirmed with a host that the Vegas March and April offers were cut in 1/2.

Does anybody know if for ADT and comp purposes CET independently determines comps and mail offers for each property? I hazard a guess that Vegas is one property for their calculation but I would be interested if other properties are considered separate for such calculations.

FAB all of the offers I get from Caesars allow me to stay in any of the Vegas hotels regardless of where the event is -- whether it's free play, or shopping, etc. So I would think all of Vegas is treated as one ADT.

You are correct for the most part, except lower offers often exclude Caesars (and sometimes even Paris), because those properties are considered more valuable than the others.

Is that also true for geographically distinct properties? For example is the ADT calculation different for your action in Lake Tahoe as opposed to Vegas? What about Rincon which is not owned by CET but only managed by it? The reason I am asking is that I expect to play very little on my Annual Seven Stars trip next month and hope it does not burn offers from my primary home casino.

FAB I don't think Rincon or Tahoe are used to figure ADT in Vegas officially... but I think they will take Tahoe and Rincon into consideration when giving certain comps.

I think if a high roller at Rincon who wanted to visit Caesars -- and hadn't been there before -- a host at Caesars might check his play at Rincon.

I know that my host at Caesars can see my play at ALL of the company's casinos, including Rincon.

My Las Vegas offers up to March 2015 were approximately $900 in free play or Visa card. There was no change in my action. For April my offers are $300. Don't tell me the CET bankruptcy hasn't affected its players.

Yes, all my offers reduced from $700 to $300.
I guess -for sure- no more CET for me.

As I have said before, CET is cutting its own throat when cutting comps too severely. They had better reexamine their enticement policies. For instance, in our part of the country its pretty much New Orleans, Tunica, Cherokee or Atlantic City. In my case, Tunica (which was our number one casino site) and AC have cut comps severely and will no longer get our business -- it was once or twice a month. New Orleans is beginning to cut comps, so we are looking at it closely. But Cherokee, before, our least favorite, has actually raised comps. So guess where we are going twice in March. Now, if they all cut comps, then we start looking at casinos outside the CET network.

Oddly enough. My offers at Harrahs Lake Tahoe have not gone down at all. So perhaps this erosion of offers is only a Las Vegas phenomena.
