Thread: Big Casino Wins and Jackpots

About the Bellagio incident: I ran into trouble there because the table crew said my throw was not legal because the dice didn't bounce off the back wall far enough. They said if I set my dice (which was okay) my dice had to bounce off the back wall by a number of inches. My dice hit the back wall but came to rest against the back wall.

That prompted me to call the Gaming Commission and the NGC told me their rule:

    1. Dice must fly in the air
    2. Dice must bounce off the table surface at least once
    3. Dice must hit the back wall

There is no rule requiring the dice to bounce off the back wall, which is what I needed to know in my problem with Bellagio. And later, Bellagio managers said I was correct and the table crew was wrong. (They never made good on the two bets I wasn't paid.)

But what I also found out was that the NGC rules about a "legal throw" are not in writing -- anywhere. Call them, if you don't believe me, and ask where to find the official rules for a legal throw -- and the answer is you can't.

New Jersey and some other states actually do have it in writing. See: http://alanbestbuys.com/id322.html

And yes, I agree with you about playing with someone else's card. Yes, it might violate the players club rules, but it can't invalidate a jackpot. I've looked on the Internet including the NGC rules and I can't find any mention of such a rule or regulation that your jackpot can be invalidated.

Wow Chimp. You have it all: beauty, brains, luck and the contempt of Rob Singer. What else can a girl hope for??

I had a rather unusual RF a couple of days ago. It is what I call an anti-sequential royal in that no two adjacent cards are in forward or backward order. Even the wrap around cards are not sequential.

Arc always good to see a royal. Doesn't the 10 at the end qualify as a sequential wraparound card?

No, it isn't the fixed position of the card that I am referring to. It is the rank relative to adjacent cards. No two card sequence is sequential.

Understood but the 10 still shows in what would be it's sequential position.

But that is not my point.

He means the card adjacent to it isn't a connector.

I'm not a VP player and I have a dumb question on the picture above. Why does it indicate all the cards are held? Why not just hold the three 6's and go from there? Is it because it is the last draw of that particular game? I noticed the first picture prior just has the four 4's held, not the K. What am I missing?

  17. #1457
The bottom picture is Quick Quads. The 4 + 2 = 6, plus the three natural 6's make it a "quick quad" four of a kind.

The top one, he drew for kickers (Ace, 2, or 3) which pay more.

quick quads is a weird game. It took me a while to catch on and then I realized I don't like it. LOL

I know this may be beneath some of you, but Ellis Island has Ten Play, nickel, 9/6 DDB QQ which is 99.65%

jbjb that's not beneath me, it's just that I have a problem adding numbers. Which is probably why I also fail at blackjack. :-)
