Talk to or at least read what Bill Belichick says. "Last week's win & Tom Brady's performance means nothing as we go into this next game. Our success (or failure) over the past decade means nothing. The only thing that matters is our next game, his next pass, etc."

There's your analogy to gambling sessions and results. Long term results are only there for a measurement and stats for others to talk about. They are history. The only important statistic is the next game's result and Tom Brady's next game completion rate. And once that game is over he can enjoy the win or whine about the loss for a week, but it is forever over. A new individual game is coming up.

    Wise up guys.
Perhaps a week or so ago it was -- you wrote something along the lines of: "special plays....I take into consideration my current win/loss for the session as well as my YTD results".

Oh never mind. I see. Rob meant this: When using his chasing-losses strategy, you shouldn't care about your previous losses, only what's in the future.

    Wait.

    No.

Hmm....now I'm not so sure what Rob meant!

Our opponent is exactly the same day in and day out. Belichick's and Brady's isn't! Try again.

Opponents don't matter. The procedure would be exactly the same if the opponent were the same. That's how professionals operate. Not hacks.

You're looking more stupid again. It happens with selective quoting.

Pro's care about YTD, recreational players don't. Remember that part?

Oh....And we were discussing Alan and his profitable trips. You want to forget about them, don't you

By the way, I did quit while I was ahead. But I did use a rising stop loss after my first quads at $25/coin VP which paid $3125. It was quickly followed by quad 4s for $5,000.

Alan is still in the hole lifetime, he has no profit!!!!!!!!

Can I use that argument with the IRS when I file my 2015 taxes?

If you play enough between now and Dec. 31'st.....you might not have to pay anything on those big recent wins.

Should you be able to? I wish! Gamblers shouldn't be taxed as far as I'm concerned be all know the federal governmenthad their hands in everybody's cookie jar. Unfortunately the IRS will scam you anyway possible.

Either way. The casinos have more money from you than you have from them. One year doesn't mean squat. That said, I'd want it to the other way around for you.

So jbjb your comment was meaningless.

  11. #291
It's very meaningful. The IRS has nothing to do with lifetime results! You're not now nor will you ever be in the black gambling, guaranteed. Quit thinking like a ploppy.

  12. #292
So the truth is finally told. These phonies, upon seeing big wins from just about anybody, don't really like it.

    How is that a surprise.....

That's the point. The IRS looks at annual results, and it wants daily logs. So those are your "sessions:" daily and annual.

There is and never has been "income averaging" for casino play. (By the way, there was a time when you could "income average" your taxes to save money in years when you had a big income. But the IRS did away with that about 20 years ago.) What happened last year no longer affects what will happen this year or next year. So casino gaming is not and never can be one long continuous session -- at least when it comes to the U.S. Government.

You can continue saying it's one long continuous session but it just won't fly with the IRS.

Think what you want. If you REALLY think you're profiting, sell your business and play vp for the rest of your life. I absolutely guarantee you'll go broke!! Case close. Naturally none of you chicken assess will do that because you know it to be true.

Hey kid, are you kidding me? Sell my business? For about $25-million dollars cash.

The pressure just keeps building up on this guy, Alan. Just as I predicted and told you it would once you hit and posted all those big winning pictures and trips. First it was "big wins don't mean you're a winner" then he goes into a childish rant about how you can't be ahead, ever. This is the profile of a loser. He can't stand that others win. I ran into this all the time at Gaming Today. The whiny ap's would call the publisher and send me hate emails. Jeffrey Compton even stormed into my book publisher's office saying he was going to sue them and me for seriously disturbing their AP state of mind.

That's why RS__ and this other clown are here. They got wind of people winning so they left the board run by an admitted ap loser to see what gives. Now that reality has set in they aren't liking what they see. There's no theory here so they can't deal with it. Thus, the anonymity, the secrecy, and the temper tantrums/vulgarity & threats. That's the sign of inexperienced amateurs.

Funny thing is I've never seen Brady or Belichick run off the field before the end of the game claiming they met their goals. LOL.

Singer doesn't even realize he is making a point for NOT quitting at some magical point in time.

Rob Singer: "LOLOLOL THESE STOOPID APS AND THEIR SECRECY"
Me: "Okay, what's your real name, because Rob Singer is clearly not your real name."
Rob Singer: "it's all over the internet, idiot"

Even funnier thing: Last week I saw Tom Brady do just that before the end of the game when he knew Jimmy G. was gonna go in for the final play. Gee, doesn't he only do that when his WIN goal is met?

You're still off your game, but we understand why.

RS__ (God I LOVE those initials--I still say I'm your idol): OK you don't have to keep humiliating yourself in front of everyone by showing your anger. What's next, a threat? Must I take you to the woodshed also??
