Question:
Do they provide decent freeplay when you run a lot of this play at Boyd properties?
I can't imagine wanting to stay at any of the Boyd properties in Vegas. They are:
California Hotel and Casino
Fremont Hotel and Casino
Main Street Station
Eldorado Casino
Gold Coast
Jokers Wild Casino
Orleans Hotel and Casino and Orleans Arena
Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall, Las Vegas
Suncoast Hotel and Casino
----
So what is the best among these? Gold Coast?
Anyway, if they kick out a bunch of freeplay (especially as a new cardholder), this might be worth doing.
Also, I find it funny at places where they consider 50 to be "senior".
I am about to turn 44. I don't look or feel like a senior citizen, but this age-50 requirement would put me just 6 years away.
I think that this "senior at 50" thing is just a marketing gimmick.
The World Series of Poker has a seniors event, also for age 50+. It gets a HUGE turnout, because there are lots of people who play it believing that it will be easy, since it lacks the competition from the tough young players. They also picture the stereotypical really old guy who s really terrible at poker. In reality, you end up at a table where 7 of the 10 players are in their 50s, many of whom are good/competent players. So it's not as good as it appears.
The better event is the Super Seniors, aka the ACTUAL seniors event, where you have to be at least 65.
