In Idaho restaurants and grocery stores have been advised to stock up. The restaurants have been advised to cut their menu to three items in order to crank the food out faster. My new plan for the eclipse is to drive into it on the 21st then drive back out. I'll be coming from the north so the traffic shouldn't be that bad getting in and out. I have a bunch of canned meat, crackers, and water in the trunk so to hell with the restaurants.
I'm also thinking the farthest north the traffic from the south on the 15 will go is Hwy 33. Hwy 33 runs east and west and sits dead middle in the path of total darkness. This intersection between 15 and 33 is out in the middle of nowhere. I have a friend who is planning on camping at Mud Lake on 33 just off the 15. I wonder how many other people have the same plan.
