kewlj, it wasn't funny what Rob said about me... but it was Rob. And Rob says silly, stupid things sometimes. He knows it. I've told him on the phone and face to face. And he is a friend of mine -- both before AND after he says things like he said about my divorces. In fact, he's invited me to spend the weekend with one of my girlfriends in tow.

This is why I have said it over and over again on this forum: Rob has an "internet persona." It's not the real Rob. Frankly, Rob shouldn't have an internet persona. He'd be much better off being the real Rob.

These AP's don't believe the 18 yos because they don't WANT to believe it. It's a tuff tug (careful kew...) against the math. It's the same story with my success playing 99.5% games instead of lying and saying the games were 100.1% just to appease them instead of frustrating them. They don't like it, they hate anything that's possible but goes against book theory, so they claim it isn't real.

I play BJ unrated for reasons already stated by others, in addition to the casinos have almost stopped giving out anything worthwhile as far as comps or points for blackjack play...even to negative EV players. But our machine play is rated. The comps, points, mail offers are actually the basis of our machine play.

I don't know him other than from 2 months on this site and in that time he has been the biggest dick and troll I have ever encountered on the internet and he takes pleasure in that. Once again, not accurate because of the math. You guys just took it on the chin with kew's silky two tables claim, and now you double down on your lack of math knowledge with this? There is zero evidence of intelligent life outside of our planet at this time. That's 0%. The Nevada casinos had had enough of my winning, and when some started denying slot club benefits and offers and some began not allowing me to play vp any longer I got the message. Ain't that the truth Mickey! We still get mail on all our accounts, but it is so much less than just a few years ago. Our machine play EV is dependent on decent mail. The past couple of years I have been thinking it is drying up to the point, it may not be even worth pursuing anymore. This year we got lucky and hit a big score on an out of town machine, just playing through new sign-up free play, so this year will be above EV (split 3 ways) but I wonder how many more years it really will be worth it. But it keeps my partner busy and pays for meals every day, on top of whatever EV we get.

I sort of stumbled on to the whole +EV machine play from mailers, thing anyway, when I moved to Vegas. I hadn't planned on it and knew nothing of it. They just seemed to be throwing money at locals via mailers. Seemed like the off strip places were competing for local's play.

I am OK if it dries up. Machine play (which my partner handles all of now) has always been a supplemental thing for me. Almost like found money. I am a blackjack player. That's what I moved to Vegas to pursue. As long as I can make my upper 5 figures EV a year (average) from blackjack, I am very happy and can live comfortably, especially here in Vegas burbs where the cost of living is pretty low.

What AP's love to say are statements like (and mickey is very prolific with this) "I've found a play that's worth $55/hour if I do this & that". But just like what kew states, it's really nothing more than theory, which means an income consisting of phantom bucks and nothing more until they've actually PLAYED and there is a real result. But don't ever ask for final proof: it's an insult to do so. Better to keep it all within the realm of theory, than have the clarity of reality......

You already did! He was never able to hold back or do what he said he would do his first six months either. Especially when some "AP" shows up and starts claiming because they've calculated some play to be +EV, that's automatic money in their pocket. Realists know better. I can see how you feel insulted when asked to prove your claims. But would you please tell us the names of the casinos where you get a free room night just for signing up for the card. Or is this just another of your unsubstantiated claims? Yes, it is.

Free rooms are easiest to believe-and seem to be the main drawing card. I tried another casino- didn't like it- and got offers even when I just came to play off my freeplay- about a 5 minute visit. Marguarittaville still sends weekly offers even though they dropped me a level for decreased play- still think they are managed by something akin to an Indian casino. Strangely, Horseshoe has lowered it's offers- but that's where the machines, atmosphere, and cleanliness are best. I'm only 40 minutes away, so these room offers mean nothing- especially with few playing hours.

Slingshot's theory is that the new owners rigged the machines. The vp games don't hit flushes, and the slots don't hit bonus rounds. Link to previous thread:

Not that it matters, but the casino never actually changed ownership. Alabama's Poarch Band of Creek Indians tried to purchase Margaritaville Bossier City, but the deal failed, reportedly due to disputes involving licensing fees and naming rights.
