Marguarittaville still sends weekly offers even though they dropped me a level for decreased play- still think they are managed by something akin to an Indian casino. Strangely, Horseshoe has lowered it's offers- but that's where the machines, atmosphere, and cleanliness are best. I'm only 40 minutes away, so these room offers mean nothing- especially with few playing hours.
Well, after posting I looked up some info and it appears Marguarittaville HAS been sold to an Alabama tribe. The difference in machines is so obvious, it's a wonder ANYONE plays.
C'mon, Sling, Singer's system works on any machine. The payscale don't matter.
As a matter of fact, I have had better luck at 1,2,and 5 credits with the single play strategy on quarters. That's a total of 1200 credits. The wins are small but better than losing.

I can see how you feel insulted when asked to prove your claims. But would you please tell us the names of the casinos where you get a free room night just for signing up for the card. Or is this just another of your unsubstantiated claims? Yes, it is.[/QUOTE]

Sure: Reserve, Hooters, Casuarina, Terribles Pahrump, Sienna, Hard Rock Lake Tahoe, Hyatt Lake Las Vegas, Tropicana, Pioneer Laughlin, Western Village Sparks, Main Street Station, Monte Lago (Ritz, 2nd grand opening), Grand Sierra, and more.

Care to show any more of your inexperience after getting caught with your BS??

At least three of those casinos mentioned by rob do not exist anymore and at least another three I have had no such offer with minimal play in my experience. Not that everyone didn't already know he's making everything up as he goes along.

I signed up at most of those places and got squat.
Druff, let us know when you receive redietz’ credit score.

We walked through Hard Rock Tahoe a few months ago. Not much to see, didn't play, was there all of two minutes. I believe the promotion then for new sign ups was a nights stay for 30 minutes of slot play (as I recall, I don't know the details). Since we didn't want to spend 30 more minutes there, let alone a night, we left.

No rush to judgment here about free rooms: you have no idea what the conditions were when the promotion was offered. It could have been during the Christmas holiday season when these casino hotels are usually empty and begging for people to come by.

For a while Harrahs/Caesars was famous for handing out free rooms.

Personally I think it's a non issue what happened in the past. Tell me about free offers NOW.

Well, I just checked the Hard Rock Tahoe website and it's the same promotion, drive on up to Tahoe, play for 30 minutes at the renovated Horizon and get a free standard room for the night.

It's not as nice as some HR locations. Whats so bad about it?

August 31, now 5 full weeks and Alan continues to drag his feet and now begins to change his story from "goes into the office one day a week" to "once or twice a month". But even his revised story is in shambles as it has now been 5 full weeks! His excuses can't change fast enough to keep up with reality.

September 10, 45 days after receiving the package, and Alan can't predict when he might get to the office. He has the urge to see redietz's proof, but sadly Alan doesn't even have the key to his own office.

And finally, September 12, 47 days after receiving the package....that he requested, Alan informs us that he is not responsible for any of this bullshit.

There it is folks! That is Alan Mendelson, your honest (<- HA!) journalist, in all his integrity, just anxious to investigate for our behalf. I'll let you all draw your on conclusions, but for me....let's see...what's the word I am looking for? ......oh yeah.... SHYSTER!

I just wanted to clarify a few things.

Alan's made some ultra-bold posts asking, "Redietz, why didn't you post the stuff yourself?" That would have been a reasonable thing to ask if (1) I had asked Alan to post anything in the package or (2) I expected Alan to post anything. I did not. What I EXPECTED Alan to do was one of two things.

I expected Alan at some point to (1) eyeball the stuff and report that (A) I was the R.E.Dietz in the material and (B) the material confirmed the bulk of anything I claimed to have done in posts on this site. That would have settled the ongoing idiotic and frankly libelous accusations by Mr. Singer that I am perpetrating some kind of identity theft and that I am making fraudulent claims. Or I expected (2) if Alan wasn't up for debunking his friend, to simply mail the stuff on to Dan so he could do it.

Now it's possible Alan couldn't afford the forwarding postage (as gas money may have been an issue), but I would have reimbursed him.

Next point: why didn't I post the material myself? I have answered this, but I will channel arci's patience in his absence and answer it again. The majority of the material does not fall under fair use guidelines as far as I know. My name is not attached to headlines, or credits, and the bulk is not scholarly material. Therefore it is not legal, far as I know, to just photograph the majority of it and post it publicly. In fact, one published essay, as I recall, has the essay title on the cover of the magazine, but not my name. So in that case, I'm not sure what is accomplished by posting the magazine cover. Regarding the legality, Alan and Rob seem to claim otherwise. How they can say this without actually having read the stuff, I do not know, but okay. To this I say, fine, post it yourselves and assume the legal ramifications. I'm good with that, certainly.

Next point: why did I want Alan to read the material since, as he admits, the sports would be lost on him? Well, more than half of the material is not sports specific. It consists of essays, op eds, and various other material that I thought Alan would appreciate and easily understand. The sports material, on the other hand, I accompanied with brief fifth-grade level explanatory paragraphs so anyone would know at what they were looking. Why should Alan know this? Because I PM'ed him explaining exactly what was in the package.

Final point: Given all of this, and Alan's distaste for proving his friend, Mr. Singer, to have been libeling me, why didn't Alan just send the material on to Dan? Good question.

Alan's very big on protecting reputations as long as they are his.

I received a message from one of the "silent majority" on this site asking, "Does Alan have a brain tumor?" I didn't hazard a response.

P.S. kewlj, I appreciate your thoroughness in laying this out as you did. Did I miss answering any of the obvious questions? Was I clear? Is there anything further I needed to clarify?

Slingshot's theory is that the new owners rigged the machines. The vp games don't hit flushes, and the slots don't hit bonus rounds. Link to previous thread:

Not that it matters, but the casino never actually changed ownership. Alabama's Poarch Band of Creek Indians tried to purchase Margaritaville Bossier City, but the deal failed, reportedly due to disputes involving licensing fees and naming rights.

I don't see a date on that article, but it appears to be from 2016, and the "under new management" is misleading because the purchase transaction was nowhere near completion at that point.

Here are some links reporting the 2017 termination of the purchase agreement:

Let me sum up this package stuff: one day I'll get to the office to see it. Sorry I haven't been to the office but Tony's vacation schedule and work schedule and my vacation schedule and work schedule have not been a fit.

Redietz I'm sure SOME of the material falls under fair use? Go ahead and post it. I think that should be enough.

If the other material does not include your name why did you send it to me? And there's no need for you to post it.

I have received numerous private messages from that "silent majority", those that either no longer post here or won't post here because of Singer and Alan. This is proof that these clowns are destroying and holding back this site. I just can't imagine why Dan would allow this. I sort of wish these silent majority types would voice their concerns publicly, but I certainly understand their decision not to, as I frequently get to the point that I see no reason to participate. At the very least, I hope they are voicing these same concerns privately to Dan. Not that it really matters....seems this site is very low priority to Dan.

By the way redietz, in advance of me going to the office please explain why the return address on the envelope is not your address or name. I know you told me but you should tell the forum since I will photograph the envelope.

You are correct. I am still suspicious and can't put my finger on just what's going on. On VP I have seen it takes losing about 600 credits before a quad and thus my reasoning for trying,1200 credits at what works out to be 5˘,10˘, and 25˘ using the single play strategy. My wife no longer comes to play her penny machines as they are mind drudgers without any seeming fun or excitement (she would get excited over a $10 win). The look of despair on the players as they just sit there and play hundreds of hands without even considering moving. If the Horseshoe ever declines like this, I'm through.

Sling, you really need to read and learn about variance and standard deviation.

When I'm on the west coast, I live at the (very nice) residence of a former VP of Boeing. When I went to print the mailing label at the office in the house, it defaulted to his name. I didn't catch it until it was printed. Since I was at the address, that was okay with me.
