Thread: Road Pics

I heard Cherokee is the "home property" of more Seven Stars players than any other TR casino. It being similar to pechanga is an accurate description, as the casino is massive. I think they built a new hotel tower a little while ago, but I remember them also using nearby motels for overflow. They gotta stop building these damn casinos way out in the middle of nowhere.

RS, I have lived in Tennessee for almost 20 years and have made it to Cherokee, which is about two hours away, maybe four times. I joke that if there were a helicopter shuttle, I'd go all the time. The roads winding down the Appalachian mountains into Cherokee are a real tester, especially in winter. You have to concentrate like a NASCAR driver, and no guardrails for stretches! For years, Cherokee was dry, but when it finally got alcohol, I thought those roads would be death traps. It is one pain in the ass drive.

But it is a spacious, lovely property in what amounts to a huge beautiful forested area. They have built a new tower, again in concordance almost with Pechanga's growth. Cherokee has a real nice music venue. I saw Billy Idol there a couple of years ago and wondered, "middle of nowhere in North Carolina; how many Billy Idol tickets will they sell?" Well, it was completely jam packed, top to bottom.

We took a drive out there this summer from S. Dakota. My wife's parents live in Ashville and we stayed with them except for a night at Cherokee. We've been there 3 times in the past 10 years, and they keep improving the place--inside and out. But I've only played there once and for less than five minutes. Never trust Indian casinos.

Yeah the roads are twisty-turny but it's the Appalachia-feel of the area that's refreshing. Plus if you bring the right car then the roads can be fun.

My first trip to Cherokee I came in through Greensville (or something like that). I saw a sign that had a moose or some such animal on it, then saw a big life like statue of a moose nearby which I thought was cool and kinda funny. Then I realized it wasn't a statue of a moose but an actual moose (or antelope or whatever the hell). Bunch'a cars pulled over to snap some pics of it. Then noticed there wasn't just 1, but another 2 or 3 of them. It was really cool to see. Doubt I can find the pics of the mooses but if I do I'll upload some.

Edit: Could'a been Asheville or Greensboro now looking at a map. But I'm pretty sure I flew into South Carolina then drove to North Carolina.

You just gave yourself away, Rob. I didn't know those dates but you certainly do. What's up with that?

I get ss. Those of us that do get told we have to wait at least a week after slugs like you to get your ssdi the 1st Wed. of each mo. And records show that you DO know those dates.

BTW, there's only one reason you put that pic. up of the broad at the poker table. Since you never had a gf or wife, it gives you something to discuss with Rosey Palmer, since she's the closest thing you've ever gotten to you know what

Your last sentence implies that you are in some kind of know. That you've seen evidence I'm drawing some kind of government assistance. The sentence was not meant for me because I know 100% that no such evidence exists so you could not possibly have any evidence. The sentence was meant for the other members and readers of this forum....to put thoughts in their heads that maybe, just maybe, Crimm is a fraud after all. Very sly, Rob.

I'm going to make you a promise. I swear on the graves of my two grandmothers, two women I loved dearly, that if you can produce any proof that I'm on any kind of government assistance or check I will pay you $10,000.

In reality, there are only two people who know you are 1000% lying on this issue. That's you and me. It goes to show the lengths your disgusting ass will go to in order to smear someone.

I think we'll be having a shitty year. They haven't put out a real good team in a few years now. But the young starting quarterback is looking pretty good. I hate it when they play an FBS team like Washington at the start of the season. Those teams want to showcase their talent by playing an FCS team early in the season, some team they can trash. But they pay big bucks to get an FCS team to come in and get their asses kicked.

Then the Griz got their asses kicked by Eastern Washington last week. Yep, gonna be a shitty year. The years where they are on top in the polls are great. Missoula gets a big shot in the arm when the Griz hold home field advantage throughout the playoffs as the town packs in with the out-of-state teams and their fans. And their is nothing funnier than watching the opposing teams shiver their asses off from the cold of December.

The Griz are like the superstar athletes of Montana to the Montanans. In the bars on Saturdays everyone is like "F--k Alabama, we're gonna watch the Griz." And what is funny is they actually have somewhat of a national following.
