Being aware of our differences doesn't make someone racist, sexist, homophobic, or any other buzzword. Racism is when you think one race is superior to another. Sexism is when you think one sex (gender) is superior to another. Homophobia is when you dislike gay people.
If I need a dog sitter, I'm probably not going to ask the black guy, because they are usually scared of dogs.
