I don't consider either a fool, IF they have reasonable expectations, which would be entertainment. I engage in some negative Ev sports betting through out the year. I am a losing a player. YES, I am a loser! (in this venue). I don't track it but would guess annually, my sports betting cost me a couple thousand dollars. Some years I might break even or show a tiny profit and some years maybe lose 3-4 grand. This is my entertainment. Hey what is the cost of two people going to a movie once a week with popcorn and soda? 40-50 bucks? That's $2000+ a year.
