For those of you who play at casinos in Oklahoma for $300 of free play, to earn 10K tier credits in one day at a Caesars property, you need to have at least $50,000 of coin in at video poker and more if you are playing their full-pay games.

For shits and giggles I ran a 20K wager on a $1 denom 9/6 Jacks triple meter, RF .5%, SF .25%, Quads .25%. The royal was at $4400 and the Straight Flush at $420 when I sat down. There were two machines. No one was playing the other one.
With the extra money in the RF and SF the game had a theoretical of 100.13%....plus 1% meter movement so 101.13%. Plus, the meters traveled in pennies but when you hit a hand it rounds up to the next dollar. So if you hit a quad at $130.01 you get paid $131. It's a .07% add-on. So now the game is up to 101.2%. Plus I was getting .1% freeplay on the card. So now the game was up to 101.3%.
I ran good on quads and hit the straight flush which slightly lowered the payback. Cashed out $1100 winner. They've sent me $300 a month freeplay since plus two buffet comps a month, plus a number to call for a "comped or discounted" room.

"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ
So do you go back there every month mickeycrimm?
No, I haven't been back. Besides Choctaw Durant, Riverwind in Norman, Oklahoma sends me two comped days a month. All I ran there was about a $3500 wager over two days and that was all on vulturable line games. Winstar has 50 cent and dollar 9/6 and NSUD with .5% meters. I only ran about a $3000 wager on the vp plus about $1000 on the vulturable games over two days. They've sent me a number to call for a "comped or discounted" room. River Spirit in Tulsa has 9/6 with a .25% card. I ran a $10,000 wager and the cheap asses have only been sending me $100 a month in freeplay.
The whole point of my travels this year was to find the best stops. And I also know the spots to avoid. The best spots are where they have plenty of vulturable line games, that get action by the ploppies, and there is no competition from other AP's for the plays. I know where those spots are now and have been spending time at them. Oklahoma is a back burner play to me. I may head down for a week or two after the holidays just for the weather change.

I don't know if I "need" to do anything, but what I find works for me is to do Diamond in a day every other year. I did it this past summer.
My gambling mostly consisted of slot machine play, some VP and blackjack. I am not an AP and during this summer trip, I lost around $2000 getting to Diamond.
My take is, I'm just a recreational player. If I can spread my play around to a bunch of different casinos inducing offers that might help subsidize my next trip, that's what I'll do.
I'm not like many here, fortunate enough to make it to Las Vegas weekly or monthly. I only come in for the WSOP in the summer and sometimes 1 more trip depending on the offers I get.
I don't much care if CET offers dry up. MGM, Venetian, Wynn, Hard Rock, Golden Nugget, and now Cosmopolitan all send out decent offers I can use.

I needed 2 days in between plays at CET, and needed to stay at Cosmopolitan for the $575 offer. Lucky Dragon didn't need a hotel stay. I just went in got my free 1 year anniversary T-shirt played my $200 and left.
But yes, there have been occasions where I've checked into a hotel just to get the offer, and left the room empty.
Alan, didn't you once say that you refused to check into two hotels at once to redeem offers, even if they were lucrative?
Can you explain your reasoning on that?

Very simply I don't play enough to keep good offers coming from multiple casinos simultaneously.
In the short term I probably could stay at both Caesars and Bellagio over the same weekend on offers but in the future one of those casinos would reduce my offers because I didn't play enough over that weekend.
Unlike high rollers I have a set budget.
If you have the ability to milk multiple casino offers more power to you.
I have used offers at both Caesars and Bellagio but I kept my play in house along with the offer. This way I think I'm better off for future offers.
If I didn't care then yes I would take the short term approach. But why kill a good thing?
Alan, you are Seven Stars and have said you have earned 1 million tier points in a single year. I don't know what the coin in requirements for 1 tier point are when playing VP, but I think it's safe to say it's more than the $5 coin in when playing slots. That would mean your yearly coin-in would have to be in the millions of dollars.
That makes you the biggest high roller I know of! Except maybe the Raja. (The guy on the Big Jackpot YouTube Channel)
My question is, does $1,000,000 coin-in all at 1 casino get you better offers overall than to say break it up and do $250,000 coin in at 4 different properties?
I just did the math, and it puts sports betting in perspective. If you put $2,000,000 through the till at the Wynn in 100 days (the length of the college football regular season), you're guaranteed lunch each day. Draw your own conclusions.
While the obvious answer to that would seem to be "no," if you manage to set up one of Mr. Singer's "I'll bet you I can win eight of 10 sessions" wagers with an individual prone to making foolish wagers, then I guess (with that caveat), the answer could be yes. You could win the sessions bet while losing. You could lose the sessions bet while winning. Or you could "middle it" by winning both the sessions bet and making a profit on the vp machine.
vpFREE2 says the Wynn has NSUD, 99.73%, and cashback on the card of .167%. That's a 99.897% return. So $2,000,000 in action has a theoretical $2060 loss. 365 lunches would average to a cost of $5.65 a day plus tip.

This year I have far less than one one million tier points. I'm not playing as much as I used to. Also I play more craps now than VP which is rated lower as is all table play.
Short answer is I'd rather concentrate at one casino to maximize my offers. I think CET has the best mix of offers and shows so I stick with Caesars.
I do play in some locals casinos in Vegas but I'm not going to stay there. Yesterday I played 10/6 Double Double Bonus at Red Rock but at 25-cents. Started with $20 and cashed out $100 after a lucky short run.
Redietz run two million dollars in the Caesars Palace poker room and you'll be comped $1 an hour.
A guy makes an $1100 bet on a football game in your sports book. The house edge is 4.5%. That equates to $50 in expected value. How much are you willing to give him in the way of comps?
