You know, there's good funny trolling and uninteresting unfunny trolling. Lets keep our trolling on the good natured side. I don't want poor old Dan to have to be judge and jury over everyone. It's a heavy and unnecessary burden.

Here's the problem. LarryS has been a complete dick on many sites. Apparently for years, although I am only familiar with the last 18 months or so. So, Larry has made many "enemies". One in particular, who appears to be a really sick dude.

So Larry comes here and his enemies follow. Actually this particular 'enemy' was already here, but Larry coming here brought him to "life", creating his sick sock puppets and really mentally ill attacks.

I give Larry credit for behaving here (so far). I know my friend mickey thinks Larry is playing a game, playing nice before the real Larry emerges. I hope not and as is my nature, want to give Larry the benefit of doubt. I hope he is enjoying respectful discussions and participation. I am.

It also has put me in the uncomfortable position to defend Larry from this sicko sock puppet dudes attacks. I mean I give Larry credit for good behavior here, but that doesn't mean I really want to defend him. But ya know....I gotta be a good neighbor, a good citizen looking out for the other people being mistreated....right Larry?

Whether égalité is behind the troll accounts or not, I just took a look at his 15 posts here, and most consist of trolling.

So he is gone too.

The troll posted a response which got deleted when I automatically removed all of his posts here (I do it with one button click, btw).

But he basically said that Larry made a lot of enemies and now has been "forced" to act reasonably here, and that he doesn't believe that behavior will last.

He then promised to keep harassing this forum until I ban Larry.

I will not ban Larry or any user because of outside pressures.

If Larry starts trouble here, I will remove him. If he behaves well, he will stay.

I have various ways I can thwart attacks on this forum. Nobody from the outside will ever tell me how to run things here.

Later tonight I will be putting in some more protections to prevent the spam from occurring. I was hoping I wouldn't need to implement such things on this site, but I guess that comes with growth.

I do have strong opinions and if I am on the unpopular side of an issue its easy to label trolling. Trolling can be in the eye of the beholder. It can be used as a reason to ban someone for reason or for no real reason

so thanks for being fair and not using the kneejerk "trolling" definition that others might have used to make their lives easier.

If you just stuck to opinion there would be no problem. Your history is attacking and belittling other forum members for your own enjoyment. I for one have been one of your favorite targets. So here's an update.

Last night I wrote in some routines to detect this idiot before he can even post once (or in some cases, before he can even register).

He has since attempted to register 25 times and failed each time.

That appears to be someone else using an AT&T cell phone in California.

This person is incredibly stupid because I am in California as well, and these IPs are traceable with a court order.

I am stating this for the record:

The people coming here to troll Larry and Alan with anti-Semitic attacks are NOT allowed on this system ever. Continuing to register accounts here is against the law. I will pursue legal remedies against anyone in the United States harassing this site, especially ones in California.

I have an attorney who sponsors my other site, and he will take it on contingency. AT&T will cooperate with all discovery claims regarding their cell network and unauthorized access to computer systems (which this is).

This is your only warning to stop, or I will sue you for everything you have. I can get up to $20,000 per unauthorized access. Look it up. In California, it's incredibly easy to file this lawsuit against someone in-state, and even those out-of-state.

Something to think about.

And in the meantime, I will continue to write more routines to sniff out these trolls and shut them out.

As I said, absolutely no outside parties will ever force my hand here through harassment.

A few years ago I went after an internet troll on behalf of an aggrieved client; in that case, the slander was on craigslist.

They wouldn't cooperate without a subpoena, but once I served a subpoena duces tecum on them they sang like canaries and gave us the necessary info to locate and serve the lawsuit on the P.O.S.

The troll lost, big time.
