tableplay I appreciate what you're saying, but I'm a recreational player. I enjoy craps, I enjoy video poker. I understand everything you are saying about coin flips and payoffs. You don't have to go into the detail.

As a recreational player I do what I enjoy. I enjoy the challenge of craps because while I cannot control dice or influence it to any meaningful degree, I enjoy the challenge of trying. For me, craps is actually a skill game even though I've seen only three players who have shown me the skill. Maybe regnis is the fourth? I don't know I haven't played with regnis.

I'm also a very practical player. I have a budget and I stick to it. I stick to bets that I believe give me a better chance of winning. I only play 8/5 Bonus Poker. At Red Rock they even have 8/5 Bonus at the 25-cent level and when I play VP now that's what I play.

If I ask questions it's because it's in my nature to ask questions. I had a 40+ year career of asking questions. Sometimes the questions hit paydirt and I won an Emmy or I put the bad guys in prison. If I read "X" and someone says they see it as "Z" I'm going to ask why? That's what happened with kewlj: it happened with reading two tables and it happened with his use of the term EV.

If I'm at a craps table tomorrow and some shooter throws three Yos in a row I am not going to bet the Yo for his fourth toss, just like yesterday when a shooter threw aces three times in a row I did not bet aces on his fourth throw -- and neither did anyone else at the table and the next roll was a 6.

I'm tired of the attacks and I'm tired of the same song from MisterV who has been hounding me for about 20 years now -- all because I said years ago that I think dice influencing is possible. I never claimed I could do it. I just said it's possible, and he's been on my case ever since.

Well now I'm really done. Participating here has become a -EV effort. I am not learning anything from anyone and I don't need to be here to defend myself against ludicrous statements such as "why didn't you bet the yo after you saw it for the tenth time?" I didn't bet the yo after ten times because a smart craps player wouldn't bet the yo after one time.

I know kewlj has told this forum many times he's leaving but he returns. The difference is kewlj needs this forum and I don't.

I am pretty sure Mr V plays -EV games and rationalizes that since he has so much money it is just amusement or entertainment expenses for him. If this is the case I am not sure why he is picking on you. If I recall correctly Mr V is in support of people wearing 6000 dollar sweaters and 60,000 dollar Rolex's playing dice or walking down the street. If this type of person walking around in 6000 dollar sweaters and 60,000 dollar Rolex's gets rolled I am of the mindset that they deserved it... Mr V is not of that mindset and does not support that theory. I believe Mr V has stated that he has several 60,000 dollar watches or has had them at one time or another.

On another note Mr V lives in Portland,Oregon which does make me jealous. I always wanted to retire up in that area but after a recent trip a few years ago it appears that my blood has thinned out from desert living and I was freezing at 58 degree weather wearing a winter coat and winter clothes while people in the Portland area were in shorts and short sleeves. It appears I will end my life in the desert.

Exactly, yet the APs on this forum and on the WOV forum expected me to be betting on the yo? They won't even play craps.

Anyone not retarded would have realized there was something wrong with the dice or whatever well before the 18th yo in a row. If i were playing craps(I have played before) I would be suspicious after the 6th one in a row.

you answered you question. The chance of getting"rolled" in a well lit highly public place in some parts of the country is nil and you can live life accordingly.

In reno or vegas...not a chance would I wear that.

But I have lived in portland area for 3 months and never felt safer.

When I was young I would go to the boardwalk of Seaside Heights, and play the wheels, to win prizes, or thrw darts, or shoot an air rifle, and never thought I would master any of those things. I would lose 40 bucks and maybe win something...maybe not. But t was fun

As an adult I have my own Seaside Heights at my disposal. For the first 20 Years it was AC with craps and BJ,,,and some roulette. And for the last 18 its been reno with sports and poker.

I never deluded myself to think I would master any of them. I enjoy the action. I dont care about -EV plays. Warning me something is -EV is like warning me the piece of chocolate cake in front of me that I am about to put a fork in...is bad for my health.

Telling MrV that his Rolex is worthless because a Timex works just as well, or that he could get the same steak he got at the Bellagio, downtown for 9.99 doesnt register. Because I have been back and forth with him for over 20 years, and although we differ on some things.....we are the same in this philosophy. If you have the money, and you can enjoy yourself and make yourself happy without significantly draining your savings....then wtf.

I find it interesting that many people I know or talk to believe in Aliens like Martians or something like that. They believe in Vampires and Werewolves. They believe in Witchcraft, Meditation and Psychics. They believe in other things as well but I am too tired to think or list them.

The point is when you ask them if they believe in God or Heaven or Hell... they emphatically believe that these things are myths or do not exist.

Basically they tell me this...

You just learned something very valuable from tableplay(at least you should have). It totally explained why stop losses and wins are not necessary if you manage your bankroll correctly. It nullifies the.... not having enough money for the long-run argument. It helps show how and why advantage play can and does work when done correctly.

I get it. You consider yourself a smart guy and a knowable gambler with many personal/career accomplishments. Yet, you have been losing year after year doing something you really enjoy, even after 2 100k royals( Very sad, very sad indeed), and access to some very intelligent gamblers/AP's and yet you havent figured out how to make money doing it. It crushes your ego when you have former rail tramps, ex-smart ass dealers who are now 7star, guys that were homeless(not you KJ), guys like JK, conspiracy theorists, and guys that write like 2nd graders, who are doing something you can't even comprehend.

Ok, so in my internet search for a picture of Rob Singer for my (humorous) post above, I came across a link to his book. Something like "How to win at negative EV poker".

I wasn't aware Singer had written a book. But in all seriousness, that changes everything. The man isn't just on these sites, attacking the math and those that believe in Math (AP's) for the hell of it. He has a financial interest in these ridiculous voodoo claims.

I consider Alan a smart guy and a knowledgeable gambler (I don't think knowable is a word). And I know he has many personal/career accomplishments. And anyone that doesn't know, he will gladly tell you about them.

And as a knowledgeable gambler, a stop limit makes sense. Gamblers are playing negative EV games. And if you don't employ some sort of stop limit, you will lose everything you own (like Singer).

The problem is Alan apparently doesn't understand the difference between playing -EV games and +EV games. -EV, if you keep playing you will eventually keep losing. +EV if you keep playing you will eventually keep winning. THAT is why you don't employ a stop limit when playing +EV games. It's not that difficult.

suggesting that 3 aces in a row is statistically equivalent to 18 yos in a row....is being intellectually dishonest. Its this type of slight of hand that you try to pull off that makes people question your intelligence, sanity,honesty.

MrV is a lawyer, by nature analytical all he looks for is facts and he will call BS when he sees it. I am in the science field and also have an analytical side and am even faster than him to call BS. You cant always be surrounded with yes men.

No kidding there is more than meets the eye. Take a good look at the picture I posted above of Alan and Singer. Look how Alan is looking at Rob. Idolizing him. It almost looks like he wants to lean in and kiss him. What is the saying....a picture is worth a thousand words.

No wonder Alan has been 'heartbroken' ever since Singer was shown the door.
