I usually assumed your IQ to be generally higher than the current temperature, now I’m not so sure. You’re saying because I’m staring at the ocean and not really participating that means I said I heard nothing?

I agree I honestly don't know how you do it all day every day in the pit. They hawk the pit so hard. They literally watch someone playing black jack and count along constantly. Really sweaty and difficult to me.

It is difficult and at times unpleasant. It is not what I envisioned when I was getting started.

I manage by really focusing on identifying what is and isn't tolerated. Each casino, different shifts and days and times of the week, and even each pit person has a comfort level. There is a range, involving betting levels, time at the table, win at each table, that is within that comfort level and better tolerated. Basically a level that won't create a lot of headaches for them to answer for. I can't and don't identify these levels for each situation and person 100% of the time. Sometimes I misread. But you do the best you can and try to stay within that "comfort range" as much as possible and that greatly improves longevity.

One of the things I am talking about is betting levels. As a card counter goes through the process of building a bankroll, one of the goals is to build a BR that can support really significant betting levels, which in turn means much greater profits. Unfortunately when you get to that point, you realize that will just not be tolerated for long. I now have the BR to play much higher levels than I do. But that leads to a short BJ career. Just think about the various MIT guys and other known higher stakes players that now support themselves giving seminars or running blackjack "boot camps".

So I play the levels I play and focus on what is tolerated and longevity.

It is funny though, I will read a trip report on some blackjack site, where a player talks about breezing into Vegas and playing stakes very similar to mine, and he experiences 3, 4, 5 backoffs/barrings in a few days. (One such incident frequently turns into multiple incidents). Then I get a PM or email from them doubting my play and experiences. ZenKing is a good example of this. The problem is these players haven't prepared. They haven't done the homework.

KJ, I wasn't being sarcastic; I only reported what I saw, and yes I fully understand the desire to remain anonymous.

But one has to wonder whether it is really worth it for casinos or their agents to spy on WoV, look at any pics of members posted online, befriend them and try to meet up, and to send a mole or two to a WoVCon to secretly photograph attendees for the benefit of the casinos / OSN, given the fact that there are "plenty of fish in the sea?"

I am not suggesting that casinos or the various databases are sending a mole to a WoV meetup (WoVCon, I guess), or to the BJ21 green chip parties. BUT, a player playing for a living can't be too careful, IMO.

I mean you used the phrase "is it worth it". It isn't worth it for the casino industry to employ most of the costs and efforts of various counter-measures. Bill Zender correctly came to that conclusion a decade ago, and there have been numerous others, including Eliot (teliot at WoV) that have more recently reached the same conclusion. Basically what you have is an industry spending a dollar for every penny it loses due to blackjack card counters. And you have a whole new sub-industry of consultants and database organizations convincing them there is a problem where there really is none (because this sub-industry benefits).

The casino industry should really focus only on the high end, well financed teams as far as card counters and ignore everyone else. Actually, If I were advising them, I would advise to focus on those machine players like Monet, Mickey, Axel, RS and leave us lowly card counters (salamanders) alone.

It is true I have a bit more free time the last few days or so because as I have stated before months ago I am burnt out running around as fast as I can to check this play or that play out. So I have been in here posting away and challenging anyone even if I get along with them or not on the internet or in the real world. I can still like a guy and challenge his authority or actions on a public forum.

So I took a nap for an hour or so and I woke up and I am sitting here thinking. This DarkOz character just gets more interesting. First off he is upset about his daughter getting ripped off for 4 grand. I can see that. We are all upset when cash deals go bad on a handshake. However, this guy refuses to answer the direct question of why he would allow his daughter to get involved in something that he himself didn't trust enough to get involved in. What is a father like this doing, letting his daughter get mixed up in this? It bothers me because this guy like many others claim to be the honest, ethical, moral people of the world inside of the AP or gambling community. Now I have to hear the story that he shows up to a lunch, late... wearing a mask for an extended amount of time. Any normal or somewhat normal person is going to question this kind of behavior or actions are they not? Especially those of you who claim to have never done anything wrong in life or in the Casino and are highly moral when it comes to anything you do in this life when put to a decision. You see my problem here? I have guys wearing masks in public to meet up with a person who is supposed to be a banned member, running some sort of a bait and switch scheme. This guy, WoN, has players like GwoAE running free play off and sending him money through western union. So I have to sit here and eat crow when I have damn well good reason to believe other players on WoV are up to something as well. Is it not reasonable to think others were involved when you have two clear cases being admitted to? The Wizard himself has changed his own rules to ban people now for just reasonable doubt compared to beyond a reasonable doubt. What is next... I just ban the next member because I am the Wizard and whatever I say goes? This Wizard can't even trust his own polls for his precious WoV Spring Fling. He doesn't know what the heck is going on in his own backyard but we are supposed to trust him and believe him without question because he is the all mighty powerful wizard of odds.

I am aware that I am the bad guy on these sites and admit that I am the bad guy. It is clear to me that I would rather hang out with the bad guys of the world compared to the ones on these forums who claim only honest and moral behavior. You ask me a question about gambling or advantage play on these public boards and I immediately answer them as soon as I see them. You ask me what reels are the best to play... I tell you. You ask me what casino and what video poker game should I play and I just publicly post what I know or the best way that I go about it. Not only that but I share my real world childhood story with you all, I share my very own personal family adventures and post up pictures about it. I show people the jackpots that I hit on a regular basis over and over again. I tell people you can choose to be shady or not and if you don't mind doing a little bit of shady activity pulling cards or playing on other peoples accounts you can make more per hour.

The truth is that as bad as a guy that I am I am not hiding behind a mask. I am especially not wearing a mask in public when I agree to meet someone. You all want to believe the fairy tales that these incidents are isolated and that WoV doesn't have a larger picture of scamming behind the scenes... go ahead and believe it. I know I only have about a 9th grade education but a street wise guy like me can figure things out pretty good when it comes to double dealing and scamming. Even if I am completely wrong... any normal individual would have to question and keep questioning the behavior of what is going on from the stories that have come forward.

I am over here sharing my love of hockey and inviting people to hockey games at no cost because I love hockey. I don't drink anymore either. I may have some wine at dinner on occasion but I gave up drinking a long time ago and I really hate paying 13/14 dollars a beer but when I go to a hockey game I want to enjoy the damn event and the people I take and damn the cost or how the owners are ripping us off. I don't want to penny pinch when I am trying to enjoy a moment away from the glare and allow someone to enjoy those moments with me. Everyone wants to give me strife over this and that but when I say something these days I back it up with action. I know I have many more complaints and questions but my blood is boiling once again so I have to end it here. You guys want to say I have gone off the rails... that is fine I can sorta see that but if you step back and look at this whole thing objectively you will see that any rational human being would be thinking like myself or perhaps even worse and bringing up far worse points to be challenged. Eventually I will go back to running around like a chicken with my head cut off and forget what is going on here but for the time being I would like to get to the bottom of the issues at hand as much as possible. I have no qualms in challenging anyone in these matters no matter how much I respect or like them or how much power they have.

And for the record to all the WoVers... I blew up my own account under Monet0412 at WoV. I requested to be self banned. However I made a mistake by misunderstanding that you can't make another account and that you have to wait 30 days to be reinstated. I never read the rules and I didn't realize for a long time how serious the rules were at WoV... I'll make mistakes like this again that is just how I am. That wasn't even the real problem and the Wizard claims to not know who PPP was. He got me with some clever needles about some pictures but the truth is that Mods were behind the scenes making up stories without even asking me. They made up some story and was going to keep PPP in good standing and delete Monet0412. These are things I didn't know until BBB posted them on the forum and Ibeatyouraces went ape ---- crazy. I am not mad about it. I wanted to be banned. However just this incident alone shows lying and immoral behavior behind the scenes with everyone involved... even your precious Wizard.

So my point is that Mods do far more than just moderating over there. They even fabricate events when talking to their boss the Wizard. Don't believe it but the rabbit hole is deeper than any of us can imagine.

Just to be clear and show the how operations work behind the scenes. After I made the account PPP and everyone knew and was kidding me BBB pmed me. The thing is everyone was kidding me so I figured everyone knew and this was ok to do I didn't realize how serious dupe ids were at the the time. So BBB messages me that she knows I created a dupe ID and wants to know if I want to keep monet or PPP... I tell her it might be best to keep PPP because monet might have a confliction in the real world but either name is fine with me. She says it would be best to keep PPP but it is clear behind the stories we're being fabricated about what was going on and lies are being told to who knows who behind the scenes. My point is things are not what they seem on the surface at WoV and I didn't realize how crazy it really is over there until this WoN got caught as a con artist. For me I joined after Strictly AP so I never knew him. When I got to WoV WoN was just another member to me... I used to see his employment ad but figured I didn't want to get involved because it seemed fishy even though I was tempted by that obvious bait. So after he pmed me out of the blue I asked some questions and he conflicted himself and never had long messages. Tough to trust a guy with one or two sentence messages and telling me he makes 500k per year. That was tough to swallow since I am in this for my life every day... just too hard to believe for me.

At the time you were trying imply that you knew nothing of which they spoke because you just watched the ocean. Why would you mention the dick size comparison contest on this site and not on WOV? By the way, why are you so focused on dick? Seems a little out of character but maybe you're just making your way out of the closet.

Whenever my actions in life cause someone real world loss I try to make retribution or amends. She didn't ask me to help her. I offered it freely. WoV and its Wizard and Mods and it's members want to claim moral and honest and ethical practices. However they want to suppress and delete information that should be public. So they are forcing people like me to shine the light on and watch the roaches run and hide back behind the walls and floorboards. They want to cry about being scammed and they want to claim no knowledge of wrongdoing. I am proving and showing that it's a sham and like all shams the hole gets deeper and deeper as it is exposed. So this is what bothers me. Maxpen thinks I am personally mad at him at times which I am not. I am trying to figure him out and the situation at WoV out. He questions me why am I talking about BBB and embarrassing her on this thread. I am not trying to embarrass anyone, I am only stating facts by the posts that these people post on WoV or over here. Sometimes the facts are from personal interactions. All I have heard for the last two years on these forums is how everyone is upright and honest and ethical but I keep seeing them jump back and forth from one side of the line to the next. I suppose at times I have done the same but I try to stay consistent as possible. So I think it is safe to say that Maxpen was asking for Missions head as was RS and the Boz and they got it. Mission resigned.

Maxpen says I am causing BBB problems but if you go back to WoV and read my thread by PPP named Jumping Off a Cliff you will see that he makes this statement about an administrator over there and he quoted the Wizard and replied to the Wizards quote. If you don't believe me or think I am making it up you can read it at this link...

Maxpen is clearly calling out a rouge administrator and one can only gather he is talking about BBB since she is the one who posted the statements prior... so if your interested go back and read that thread and make your own decisions. I just can't figure out if he is on the side of the admins or not. At times it clearly seems like he is calling for their heads and at other times it seems he is defending them. I can't figure it out exactly.

BBB gets caught up in a whirlwind after making this statement...

Monet412 is gone and will not return. I spoke to him about it after his 30 days was up.

Pingpangpong is a former member who has returned with a different name for AP professional reasons, and is a member in good standing. He, and I, would appreciate him not being the subject of any more of these type of posts. I'm sure his fellow AP's will understand this sometimes happens and stop. Thanks.

I never said anything about this not being the subject of any more of these types of posts nor was I consulted about it. I didn't care if people needled me about PPP... I thought it was a running joke.

Also if you read the thread you will see AxelWolf and others tell the Wizard he was the only one who didn't know.

Ya know, I don't really know about the whole Monet/PPP situation. I know the basics, but not all the details. I don't follow every little drama at WoV as closely as some think I do. I go in cycles, sometimes have more time on my hands than others.

BUT, this post really highlights one of Mike's major shortcomings and that is that he is too rigid. He demonstrates zero flexibility. He is just incapable of common sense reasoning at times. And in my opinion that makes Mike, who is a rather intelligent man, look stupid, foolish and weak.

I'll give an example from my own situation at WoV, because as Larry likes to say, everything I say is about me, me, me. Seriously, my own situation is the one that I am most familiar with, so that is the example I will use.

We all know the story involving my situation. I, a 4 year member at WoV, had some negative comments of events on another AP (blackjack) site, concerning a member who was intentionally misleading members (later proven beyond any doubt) and the forum owner that was protecting him. So that other forum owner, comes to WoV, where he hadn't participated for more than 5 years, for the sole purpose of manipulating Mike to shut me down.

So whatever anyone including Mike thought of the situation at the time, now just over 2 years later, with the benefit of hindsight, it is pretty damn obvious that this person (Qfit) had no real intention of being a regular contributing member at WoV. Sometimes when I point out (as I just did) that he hasn't participated, he will then make a few token posts out of spite, but basically, to anyone with an ounce of sense this persons real intent is NOW crystal clear.

And yet Mike, shackled (<- ) by his own inflexibility and rigidness concerning rules, is unable to look at the situation and acknowledge what it really is. That is a person (Mike) limiting themselves as far as growth.

And quite frankly the Mickey situation similarly shined a light on Mike's inflexibility and rigidness. There were pretty simple solutions suggested that would have allowed for Mickey, a highly valued member to continue to participate. Mainly that his posts would be monitored and not posted until a moderator had 'checked' them. Mickey seemed to be ok with that solution and at least one moderator had agreed to take on that responsibility, but rigid Mike, couldn't accept it. He couldn't be flexible enough to find a way, an outside the box way, to accommodate a very valuable member. Again, this is a major shortcoming of Mr. Michael Shackleford.

Wait...what now?? Is there some sort of 5 post limit for new members or something?

If so, let's ask Dan Druff to relax that rule in this case of Mission146. Let's be flexible here and not get hung up on the rigidness of rules like that "other" site.

Besides, I would rather read a dozen shorter Mission posts, that 2 or 3 posts that take me longer to read than to watch a movie.
