This is just more of Argentino's bullshit made up stories and excuses. The 4-7 year number is the recommended time that individuals keep records, NOT the IRS. The IRS keeps paper records and copies for 6 years at which time records are then stored digitally. Tax records can remain available for as long as 30 years in some cases.

The man has a story and excuse for everything. Wait until you here his bankruptcy denial. It wasn't him. It was some other Robert Harry Argentino, same age, date of birth, last 4 social, living at the same address he previously lived at.
Too bad you missed it instead of making it up on the go. A few years ago there were multiple posts and IRS links here about how far back we could request tax records for. 7 was the max. And if you enjoy keeping records past the 3 year requirement then you should be a file clerk instead of a government handout slug.
