I'm sure Redietz knows no one who does this, but this is the classic betting con that he mentioned:
"Most of the honorable people I know who do this, do not charge if the selections lose. They charge if they win. It's the classic advantage play for the handicapper...."
The con man starts with two lists. One list gets A and one list gets B. Next time the winning list is divided in half with A and B picks again. And the next winning list gets A or B again. Finally there is a small group who thinks "this picker is 100% so here's my $10,000."
