Are you familiar with all the blah, blah, blah, of the Wizard's (legally binding) "offer" to anyone who wants to bet they have a winning gambling system? I sort of tried to hint at this, when I mentioned the notion of having a nut-job like KJ have any involvement in any such a thing. What's the Wizard, or his friend, Bluejay, with a similar offer on his site, offering? Was it $25,000 or $100,000? Or do I have that reversed? I never gave that much thought. No one who could win such a bet would accept such a bet. Think about it.

Not that long ago, I had my own fun with experimenting with some of the casino games at the local casino. Long enough to know what goes on at most blackjack tables, and casinos. I was interested in some of the mathematical and philosophical paradoxes of the game theory strategies, and, years later on, of the casino games. Although, poker was something I studied along with game theory, and some other university courses in this general area. I optimized a few of the general counts for blackjack, with fractional values for counts, and went on to work out the individual fractional counts for each of the many cases of dealer versus player, say, for the soft-count double downs, some of the most lucrative hands for the serious card counter. How those 100 or so persons who have mastered card counting get to that 4%(?) advantage? Along the way, for fun, I found myself memorizing the orders of the cards in eight-deck shoes. Lots of mathematical exercises too. But, I never took any of the casino stuff seriously. There is so much more to life. No way to live and breathe in that climate. I have to get my 3 or 4 hour walk in, everyday, let alone sit on a small stool that long.

By the way, a serious bet here may be to challenge someone to write a better program or app than you - there are already so many of those that any smart aleck could use to play that offer of yours to "win" such a non-bet blackjack "bet". I hinted about this too, with the reference to going to Montana, where Mickey waits for people to show up to watch him "make" money in casinos there with his "buddies" having already loaded the machines in advance of his "progress" for the day. $10,000 for the "privilege".

Ha, it's easy as hell to bluff everyone single one of you AP freeloaders... just add a hint of a downside. Well, Moses of "the burning bush", life is passing you by. I know, the biggest risk I ever took in my own life turned out to be my greatest benefit.

Good to know the joys and lows of the years of each of living single and then married. Sometimes in any event, other things keep coming up for a while. He started telling her all about the origin of cats, how many there are in the city, state. How many lives they have etc etc. Well, she fell asleep. So Yung knelt in front of her and gently shook her arm to wake her up. He thought to himelf "focus and speak very slowly."

Value Seekers do not care about training others, informing newbies, being part of a group. They only care about two things; Finding Value and Making Money. That's investing - Not gambling. For instance, suppose I told you about a "sure thing" horse going off at 4 to 1. Now you bet a load and tell someone else, and so on. Now the horse wins but was bet down to 7 to 5. Thus the value is gone. The gambler loads up on the next race which is of little value. Same 7.5 shot loses by a nose and he's in the red.

Well, I'm in the middle of writing up a report for a court case, so this stuff is the farthest thing from my mind.

Suffice it to say that however you (and the casinos) want to work the AP angle, AP'ing and gambling, itself, are almost out the door. The old guys got into the systems thing, the young ones got into the knee-jerk reaction of the advantage thing, and most of them lost their money or their time.

You could very well say that the whole thing is analogous to progressions of and responses to any of the various bacterial and viral infections in the population. Ha, whether or not you will admit to the fact that also viruses are alive. Pathology.

To clarify something. Just as advantages can be too small quantitatively to pursue, so can those be too poor qualitatively.

Are there any good or positive-life casino advantages, aside from how small or big? Eg, I think that the chances of finding true love in a casino are slim enough not to warrant the attempt. This sort of thing.

Most girls, at least in this respect, don't care about math, and won't go to a casino to find romance. Whereas, guys tend to internalize the gambling math, perhaps math in general, so much more than than the girls.

Bill Yung has something in his latest post. I would say most women don't give a damn about spending money in a casino and they're more concerned with security and how much money there is in a bank account or investments.

Even though there are women who gamble, it's basically a man's game.
