I just took the clothes out of the dryer. I got all of the tee-shirts, all of the underwear, but I'm missing one of the white socks.

Where do lost socks go?

Do clothes dryers have a special compartment that sucks them up, or turns them into lint?

Or are they magically transported to the same place where your lost baseball cards are?
