It’s important to have someone in the AP community bringing these topics to the forefront. Since you live in Vegas, you probably don’t understand the full impact of snow and shoveling snow to people living in midwest player’s neck of the woods. I do, so I will always defend Midwest Player when he talks about these important topics..
I don't have a problem with Midwest Players references about the snow and shoveling and all. The first sites I was on were strictly blackjack sites and blackjack discussions, which is basically my life. But one of the things I liked about WoV is that in addition to AP/Gambling discussions, there were other topics. Being a huge sports fan, I like to talk sports. I also have an interest in politics, but have learned there can be no reasonable discussions about politics on these forums. Almost every forum related to gambling in any way has a section about Vegas, where you can discuss things not exactly gambling related, but just life in Vegas and I love Vegas, the city, the history. (Oddly on this forum every discussion is in the Vegas section, I have no idea why.)

I actually am interested in learning a little bit about the people who are members of the forum, especially the AP's, because, AP is not just about what it stands for, playing with an advantage, it is a mindset and a way of life. And I am interested to read about other AP's and how this way of life, intertwines with their personal life, because it is VERY different than non AP's.

So, in MWP's case, the snow is a big part of his AP life. Hell it snows there 10 months a year. And in Vegas for those of us that live here or visit regularly, the weather is also a big part of our lives, especially the summers.

I lived in Philadelphia for 8 years, so I went through some winters, with snow and all. And I never liked it. So yeah, when my fellow AP's and members are bitching about digging out from 6 feet of snow in January to head to the casinos, I enjoy telling them that it is 65 degrees here in Vegas and I am wearing shorts. THAT is the trade off we get for enduring those 115+ temps in July and August.

So yeah, I am ok, with more than just gambling/blackjack/AP talk. Actually one of my favorite things at WoV, was when Mission146 did the interview with me and I got to share my life and how my life as an blackjack player/card counter/ AP intertwined with my personal life.
