Agreed - nice job Mickey. BTW I saw one of the 10K Ainsworth crews you were talking about on the podcast. There were two adjacent Ainsworths (not positive but I think they were Action Dragons or some variant with the 10K rather than 5K must hit for the major), and one crew-member took one of them which was near the break-even of $9600 and change and the other (which the other crew member took) was at $9750 give or take. They were speed betting at around $20/spin (it was a blur -didn't want to get too close). I returned the next day (the $9750 had hit while I was still there the night before) and they were both near the reset of $9000 (I have very little idea if they turned a profit, but the $9750 may have been profitable because it hit when I floated by a couple hours later that night). I can't imagine the bank roll these guys have (as you said on the podcast it must be some six-figure shit for the team - maybe mid or high six-figure). It's really risky shit IMHO - the Filipino crew who always took shit too low are disassembled now. I see a few of the members scattered about still here and there but I'm pretty sure the main guy busted out because I saw him looking totally frazzled one night and then never saw him again. This was a guy who was there every fucking day for 12 hours a day for the 7 months I've been working this place - LOL. The remnants of the crew focus on the one and done stuff now as far as can tell - (the Filipino crew is not to be confused with this Ainsworth two-man white guy crew). Anyway I wouldn't touch that shit with a 10 foot pole. The golden age of the one and dones we're in gives me no reason to even think about it.
Agreed. I don't care for the insane variance of the Ainsworth 10K's. The River Dragon 5K's and their variants are a different story. They are very predictable. You will most likely get drained for somewhere between 10% and 20%. I did another play yesterday where the drain was 14.4% on about 29K in action. Started at 4917, ended at 4994. I finished an $829 winner plus insured the place will keep sending me the room comp and freeplay.

I know I self-excluded in that Alan thread yet, after listening to Mickeys interview, I just couldn’t resist a personal response. Promise this is the last you’ll hear from me.

I haven’t any idea what it’s like to have gambling and traveling endlessly to do it being a full-time part of my everyday life. But after listening to three full time gamblers having a conversation about it, I could only take 30 minutes of the interview. I was expecting something different and did give it a full 30 minutes to be fair.

I find it interesting how Mickeys fans and friends here give praise for what they think was a gifted opportunity to earn the privilege to be interviewed by these two men who sound like two fucking weirdos. What is the main purpose for this show?

No doubt, Mickey after finding AP gambling was able to pull himself out of the gutter and take care of himself. That should have been the main topic of the conversation about how that all evolved from where he started into today.

After listening to him talk and hearing his passion for it, I want to admit I made a bad judgement call on his character and his resolve. Good for you Mickey and I hope it works out for you the whole ride.

Just to compare the differences in priorities, for me at this stage of my life, I consider it a gift to spend almost all my waking hours sharing it with my wife, kids, grandkids, sisters, brother, and all their children, relatives, friends, vacations, boating, etc., which made me unable to view gambling anymore then entertainment which it’s always been my whole life.

My life has been blessed in many ways and I wonder how I would have turned out having to live through the same conditions Mickey did.

Mickeys story is an interesting one, but not worthy of a Nobel Peace Prize like Reditz is treating the interview as.

    God bless you Mickey.

Interesting take on my comments, blackhole, given that I'm just now listening to the interview at this moment. What's most impressive is the fact that being granted the interview means that he's vetted by people who know most aspects of gambling or who have access to experts for those elements with which they are unfamiliar. Mickey passes the vetting tests, and that's something. If mickey says something that is incorrect, he'll immediately or eventually be called on it, and he won't be invited back.

The fact is, mickey is doing something only a handful of people could pull off. Now if you're going to say that very few people would aspire to mickey's life, that's fine. It still doesn't change the fact that 99.99% of the population could not pull it off if they wanted.

Early in the interview I said that weather was not a factor in Montana. For extreme cold weather and a reasonable amount of snow it's not. I do mountain passes in whiteouts no problem. But after the interview I remembered an incident that did throw a cog in my wheel. It was in Kalispell in December one winter. The weather had been great so far that winter. Not one snowflake on the ground. I went to bed one night not knowing the weather report. The next morning I got up, cleaned up, and was ready to hit the casinos. I opened the door and everything was covered in two feet of snow. That DID put a stopper in my butt for a couple days.

I think BH's post is about as close to a compliment as I will ever get out of him. Thanks, BH. You don't really have to go anywhere. Just tone down the "AP's are broke ass phonies" routine and stick around.

So...I met a pretty interesting old timer today. Sounded like he's been around.

Tough beginnings for him, got into gambling, no, not the regular gambling your probably thinking about, more what they call advantage play gambling. Line play and progressives. I guess there's a way to make some moves on those machines. Didn't get all the dirty details but close enough for a one hour conversation.

The story is the guy straightened himself out, then straightened out even more not too long ago. Now things seem to be going real good. Bounces around, hits the road, makes a buck. A tale of Indian casinos versus Vegas. Vultures and hustlers, meters and coin in.

All in all not too bad a story. Nice job Mickey.

Mickey, bh is just like the rest of us who play in the most advantageous situations possible but do not obsess over it like you do. I know you do it as a lifestyle because you gave up on all other forms of living. We all have our own path.

You don't like it when bh or myself disparage AP gambling, but you don't care one bit about disparaging how he, Alan, or I play. You explode into expletives if we say ANYTHING negative about you or anyone else's AP play and claimed results, yet you feel it's your right to say negative things about how we play and what our results are reported as. You constantly ask for proof of winning from us, yet you think it's against the AP Code of Ethics to even be ASKED for the same type of proof. You are a walking, talking hypocrite.

I would imagine an interview on GWAE is a life-changing event for someone like you, and yes, I agree you are far better to listen to than those two stiffs who do such an otherwise going nowhere, boring show. But know this: if those gimps ever were to invite me on to tell them what I am about to reveal to axel, it would be life-changing for THEM.

Does Gambling With An Edge pay for doing an interview with them?

  9. #29
I would imagine they don't, because they already have to pay the station for the time slot to do their show. But if it were me, I'd happily pay every single one of my guests out of pocket because that's the way it ought to be. Of course, losers would NEVER consider doing that unless they were forced to.

Funny how the guy that always demands proof is saying I'm the one that does it. As far as I'm concerned everyone is free to believe what they want about anything I write or you write or what anyone else writes. It's you that was always demanding proof so I started to do the same thing to you. It's an exercise in futility to put up proof to you or bh or belly. It's not good enough for any of you. You will find any excuse to run it down. You are a walking talking hypocrite.

PS: Contrary to your claim here you don't play advantageous situations.

LOL...what a cop out. When did you ever put up proof of any of your claims?

You'll always have chances to be truthful here, but until you post proof nobody can know if you're telling the truth or not.

That $829 win you booked in the post above...was that before or after taxes?

Was there any withholding on the $4994 jackpot?

Redact whatever you need to and let's have a look at the W2G, that'll be good enough for everybody.

Coach, as you clearly saw and could very easily deduce from mickey's scrambling reply, my post caught him squarely in his own trap. He and his battalion of "AP's" have been demanding constant proof from me for many years, and they only became further agitated when my GT publisher and managing editor used to confirm my wins to all the distressed and angry, disbelieving callers. What choice does he have now? He claims he cares not about what other people report, yet his true colors shine forth as he becomes unhinged at the sight of those who criticize him, saying they win.

These are the signs of just another internet phony creating a virtual AP-life. You WANT to believe a down-in-the-dumps guy like him because no one has anything to lose. Yet his bad attitude, rudeness, vulgar vocabulary, and constant desire for conflict tell a different story indeed.

The only story it tells is that you seem to give the "Coach" a reason to live and some badly needed courage....sort of like a guy that rescues a bitch from a woman's prison lol

This is funny stuff. The projection is stunning. You aren't writing about me. You are writing about yourself. You are the one with the bad attitude, rudeness and constant desire for conflict. You've been doing it for 20 years on the internet forums.

I put up the W2-G for the last one I played. It wasn't good enough for you and the rest of the confederacy of dunces. I said no more of that bullshit. I ain't jumping through hoops anymore for you dumbasses. You don't believe it I don't give a fuck. Get your goddam daddy to put up proof you're his son.

Better than pure gold....I've put up more W2G's supporting larger wins than anyone here, you little people can't stand it so you go on claiming something's foul about them, yet when I refuse to do it anymore all you wimps do is act like little whiny babies about it.

And yes mickey, with or without alcohol, you've always been the most disruptive, vulgar, and conflict-loving poster across the gaming forums since you started on food stamps.
