This is actually almost a re-run for me and a handful of the blackjack guys that participated at Norm's forum 6-7 years ago.

The guy T3 that I challenged that lead to my 2 bannings at BJTF and WoV was almost an identical situation. T3 was a small time card counter. He posted that for years, maybe decades. Then all of the sudden he announced that he was going to be known as one of the blackjack greats. What followed was several years of escalating ridiculous claims. Claims that the math said are impossible.

Now I don't know if Rob actually "announced" that he was going to be known as one of the great VP players, as that was before my time on any forum dealing with Rob. Weather he announced it like T3 or not, it is crystal clear Rob's goal was to elevate himself above what were considered the top VP players. Hell he even took a handle mocking Bob Dancer. That tells you what Rob's whole agenda has been about.

Real AP's, real and successful AP's don't do what Rob and T3 did, they have no need to inform and prove to the world that they are the greatest. I'll give a couple examples.

Mickeycrimm: Mickey has detailed some of his plays. A lot of low limit stuff. Stuff a lot of other AP's wouldn't find worthwhile. THAT is a real AP! Mickey doesn't toot his horn as one of the greats, although for my money, he just may be.

Axelwolf: Not one of my favorite people in the community, but I have great respect for him as an AP. I used to think Axel was solely a machine specialist. And while he is that, I have come to realize, he has played plenty of table games including blackjack. He will go after anything +EV that he deems worth his while. Once in a while he blows his horn a little bit (among other things), like when he attempts to put others down by telling us all how he is self taught.....(as if there is some sort of shame from learning from books and other players), but generally you don't see Axel doing a lot of self promoting.

RS__, MaxPen, BoSox and some others I am leaving out...most AP's aren't running around telling you how great they are. They do their thing, whether professionally (full-time, making a living) or Part-time recreationally/supplemental. But you just don't hear real AP, telling you how great they are.

Now I am a lowly card counter. You know salamander stuff. Lowest ring on the AP ladder. Many other AP's look down on me. And that is all fine. I am not out to be the best card counter ever. I do my thing and that is all I care about. I do share my experiences and that is often mistaken as braggadocios, but I mean really a guy at the lowest level, looked down on by most....that person isn't bragging. Even some things that I do that I though might be kind of special like tracking multiple table, turns out most successful card counters eventually incorporate into their game. So no seeking or claims of being the greatest here. Just some sharing or experiences. Sharing the journey.

Again that's how you can tell who is real and who is just some narcissist living in a fantasy world claiming to be something he isn't. Rob is classic...absolutely text book!
