We are all different and for me having extra change to deal with later is not a big deal for me.

I'm struggling with the scenario where 2 grown men cash a ticket at a kiosk for, say $100.75. They stand there and split the cash $50-$50, then split the quarters 2-1, and then one guy gives the other 12 cents...or 13 cents?

Is that really how it goes down, over and over again? You gotta be kidding.

Yes that is how it goes down (except that we don't stand in front of the kiosk machine to perform the split - we go to a machine with a flat surface like a slant-top to make the division). So then this results in a situation that you don't like and that is how it will be.
