Welp, that George Carlin one went a little too deep into pedophilia.

I watched a clip with Denis Leary on the show getting ready to throw blows lol.
    They were getting mean.

Anyways... this one is pretty good with guess who... Joe Rogan.
Quinn gets it started with a quick rant about how anyone should be able to make fun of any race/religion or anyone.
And I have the other 150 (or should I write 151 if we include this post;actually,in the name of accuracy, I guess Danny and Mr. V have a few posts sprinkled in there ) ;-) Yes I remember during the Joe Rogan Quinn podcast that I got intrigued about Tough Crowd when Joe talked about how great it was and Colin mentioned the large number of episodes they did when Joe asked how many were done, so I appreciate the links and will listen to these two tough crowd excerpts. I enjoyed the Dennis Miller stuff back when his shtick was to throw obscure references in to his routines (so basically his early stuff) and of course he was great on SNL. Maybe his more recent stuff is really good too, but I haven't really explored that.
Maher is a creep that is into some really weird shit - dude's owned by the Eyes Wide Shut crowd probably.

Rogan could only stay for part of it and so I listened to that portion of it the other day (so I didn't reco it since I only listened to a partial podcast).
I enjoyed the Tough Crowd episodes you linked up. What was particularly funny were the spots where Colin adlibs what a person is going to say (based on their appearance) and then here what the person actually says for various people that are asked some question (different questions for each person).

    You're right.
    Not so great.
Rogan seemed a bit annoyed to be there.

I found a really good episode of Tough Crowd.
It has Seinfeld and Sarah Silverman.
They must say retarded 50 some odd times lol.
Sorry to spoil this for you but she has a hilarious joke using the word "Chink" lol lol lol.
Funny how none of them are up in arms about using the word Retarded or Chink.
Would love to see them reboot this show and I hate reboots.
What I really find funny, about this episode, is that Jerry is recycling his old material.
Literally, using a joke from his stand up routine.
He really has a hard time with this format and just riffing it.
He needs a script lol that's why he would shoot 5 hours of footage for 20 minutes of his Coffee Show.
Lucky Bastard teaming up with Larry David.
That being said, he was pretty funny on Norms Podcast Show just shooting the shit with Norm.
Sorry to turn the Movie Reco Thread into a Colin Quinn Fest lol.

Thanks Monet. I think Joe Rogan floated the idea of a Tough Crowd reboot ("Tough Room" - the original name of Tough Crowd which got scratched) to Colin during his podcast with Colin and it seemed like Colin wasn't totally closed to the idea.

    Still worth a viewing.
The Preview of this movie is pretty outstanding.

    My gripes are somewhat minor.
You don't have to push the PC Bullshit down our throats with the whitest white guy in love with some black girl with massive braids.
You don't have to put some Mexicans in the movie and use the word Brown just because its being pushed these days.
Just stick to the subject material which is living life and having to deal with struggle, loss and death.
Supposed to end this movie with the flyover scenery.
The way they ended this film isn't going to win over the naysayers.
Those people haven't lived long enough to relate to the subject material.
The people who enjoy this type of movie want it to be dark and depressing and they want it to end dark or ambiguous.

    East of the Mountains (2021)
I was able to get a download of the movie with a compatible format and watched it on a Smart TV. Solid movie except for the unnecessary woke bullshit as you said. I have a friend that lives in Spokane and he had mentioned that there is a lot of methhead shit going down there - but the movie just shows the more typical small town living. Kind of like how the Amazon series Goliath doesn't show all the homeless tent city shit in Venice Beach.
    Thanks again for the reco.

Not sure why they didn't make his daughter a Lesbian.

Anyways, caught a Keanu Reeves Movie on the Free Redbox the other day.
Pretty Good if nothing else to watch.
Not sure how I missed it but I do recall many more promotions in the Casino at that time.
Better than John Wick 2 and 3 IMO.

    Have you seen this?

A better movie and Free if you are into the Western Theme and all.
Pretty Amazing how they could make this.
    CGI can not compete.

    Love that movie and song.
My Uncle forces me to watch it at least once a month lol.

I keep finding movies I never seen before which is pissing me off.
Bond/Remington Steel and another actor who could of played Bond... Michael Caine.

    The Fourth Protocol (1987)
Ned Beatty speaking English with a Russian Accent lol lol lol

Thanks Monet. Since the full movie is on youtube, it's a no brainer as far as watching it goes (I've never seen it either).

    Not too bad.
Same writer and similar concept as that Jackal Movie with Bruce Willis, Richard Gere and Jack Black.
I think they refined the later movie which is probably why this movie isn't heard of or seen as much.

So I got on a Caine Kick now and found out that Sherlock Holmes was a sham all along.
Turns out Watson is all the Brains and Holmes is all show according to Caine and Kingsley.
Or I suppose I should say Kingsley and Caine.

    Without a Clue (1988)

Yeah, there's a lot of takes on Sherlock Holmes and Watson in the movies. I think the last one I saw was the Robert Downey Junior version which may also be the newest take (saw it a few years back). In any case, I haven't seen your reco and, as before, since it's a full movie on youtube I'll watch it. thanks for the reco.

Right... even Ricky Bobby and Cal Norton Jr. got involved in a really bad take of the duo.

I think my favorite one was when Sherlock was addicted to cocaine had to have Alan Arkin (Freud) help him.
He was having massive hallucinations and Robert Duvall played Watson.
That one was called The Seven-Percent-Solution.

I do enjoy the older more serious ones though as well.
Even the original Black and White versions.
I enjoyed the more modern TV Series titled Sherlock too.
That guy from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy played Watson.
    Martin Freeman.

    Anyways... Cheers!

Bravo Monet, this was quite a sleeper. Excellent movie - talk about flying under the radar. Too bad Ned Beatty just passed this June.

Always fun to see Brosnan as the Antagonist.
If he pushed that button he wipes them all out but he had to get cute and open the timer.
Pretty good spy movie though... more realistic than most.
The Sherlock Holmes movie is not as good.
A bit too goofy and runs a little long.
The kind of movie you have to enjoy to stick with.
A good premise that needs to only run 45 minutes.
