Every business or profession has its share of losers that are an embarrassment to others. Mr V will tell you there are lawyers who are an embarrassment to the profession. Dan will surely admit there are professional poker players who are low lives. You certainly can’t judge every parent or retiree by Alan’s actions.

The problem is you have junkies or others desperate for money they bother valid casino customers playing machines they want. And no business wants to deal with legitimate customers complaining about being bothered. A little research and the casino is determining what the issue, and machines in questions are.

I’m sure Mickey has seen guys like this since his early AP days in Laughlin, there just seems to be more lately. The people I have met or talked to off line don’t go for garbage like this and have never given me a reason to believe they are not trustworthy. And they all make a good living playing the game without resorting to stuff like this. They are in it for the long haul and drawing attention is not good for business.

So yes Alan, they are AP’s out there and there are shitty wannabe AP’s out there ruining it for others.
There is another type of hustler (one of many types I'm sure) besides Creators. I don't have a name for them, but these are the people who say "I've already checked all those machines" (when they haven't), or "I though I saw security looking at a picture of you". etc. Basically they try and talk regular APs out of plays.
If I know the person and I know for a fact nothing is on a game, I'll let them know. We may be competition, but we're also friendly to each other. If I dont know the person, I won't say a word. Let them waste their time.

A few weeks ago, a guy gave me the "there's nothing there" speil but then got pissed when I found some.
Yes exactly, I've found some when told there weren't any. I do the same as you and if I haven't found any (and know the person), I say so. There are even some friendly civilians - I was checking bartops and a guy a few seats down from told me "they've already gone though those". I said thank you and moved on (I guess he could have been lying but he was drinking away at a modest pace).

Throw in a bunch of free drinks and you got one hell of a way to make a living, combined with a great atmosphere. What a sad bunch.

The free drinks are for sucker gamblers like you.
"More importantly, mickey thought 8-4 was two games over .500. Argued about it. C'mon, man. Nothing can top that for math expertise. If GWAE ever has you on again, you can be sure I'll be calling in with that gem.'Nuff said." REDIETZ

I have information that most of the slot AP's have been 86'd out of Thunder Valley Casino in northern California.

Never have been there but I believe they were the biggest contributor to volume loss in Tahoe years ago. Now I’m sure Graton has taken that honor.

Either way it seems even the Indian casinos are growing less patient with AP’s.

The logical assumption is casinos are going to start putting pressure on slot manufacturers to eliminate any potential advantage at almost any point to players. Seems far fetched as they actually make more money off suckers playing at the wrong times, dumping cash in them.

But never underestimate the stupidity of casinos to lose $1’s to save pennies if they think someone is pulling something over on them.

    This is Barney,

I don't mind other APs but I hate it when they grap a slut machine device which is positive EV and I am about to play but they push me away and sit down and play for awhile before they hit the most biggest payoff. At casino roadtrip this week this AP team two did exactly that then hit most greatest winner.

I'm not sure this is related, but someone I talked to at a casino different than Thunder Valley that does Thunder Valley as part of their route said they saw some Creators duping the elderly and recorded some footage with a smart phone of this and got them 86ed by showing security the footage (the smart phone recording was done by this person and a couple of his or her slot AP friends). This may have catalyzed some of the non-Creator slot APs (possibly even the smart phone persons at a later time per Mickey's post) also getting kicked out - speculation of course.

A non-gambler friend of mine was there last week, and they mistook him for a John during a prostitution sting. And by "they", I mean the police.

Not sure if it was tribal police (I'm guessing it had to be), but the cops were very verbally aggressive with him, and he stood his ground and confidently stated they were incorrect about him, and finally they backed off and let him go.

I don't know if this is at all related to the 86ing going on there, but perhaps there is a general effort to clean the place up -- of both hookers and hustlers!

I should have finished the sentence I was told. Most of the slot AP's have been banned in the past three months.

    This is Barney,

Yes, pennies. That AP team won close to a million dollars on that play.

Dan, it sounds like there are some pretty hot chicks that hang out there, or used to anyway.
