I think that the majority of CET hosts are compensated from the Theo generated from the players in their book.....not losses. If you are coded to a host in a particular market, it doesn't matter how the trip was booked, your host will get credit for your play.
What I mean by market specific..... if you have a host in Vegas, but book a trip to AC on your own, your Vegas host will not get credit for your play. A few years ago, my Vegas host would be able to book me into any CET property and still get a percentage of my play. Currently, your CET Vegas host can (or you can do it yourself) book you into any CET Vegas property and get credit for your play.
